  • In the words of Randy Galloway ( one who is hated by many here on the board), we got the one of the dumbest fans in Cowboys Nation, especially who attend games seems like. Phillips false start was partly due to Crowd getting loud!! Gawd that pissed me off! And then when Panthers were playing two deep shell (i.e. Tampa 2), idiots around kept wondering why he isn't throwing deep? Hello, thats why Witten was more open ( maybe instead watching that big screen TV they should watch whats going on the field). And then top of it BOO the team at half time? Nitwits!
  • Stadium, as its been said, before its obvoiusly mamoth etc. etc., but what is not apparent is there is so much hidden space, that we can't see (i.e Large storage rooms and so on forth), and lot of pretty much milling about areas.
  • Oh boy, it was a like some kind of Model convention at times, with women out there. In Texas Stadium, it was not that apparent, but now, with milling around one can do, it almost seems like all of the Beautiful women moved to Dallas and at the stadium :D So single guys, you got plenty of Eye candy if you just walk around ;)
  • Overall, as it might have come across on TV, first half was yawner and pretty much that missed field goal seemed to have killed the Crowd buzz.
  • First time, since I have been to games in Dallas, stadium was farely quiet, after the field missed field goal, and then got Rowdy little bit after Second half TD and erupted finally at Newman Int. Lot more empty seats than I expected.
  • Its far easier to get in and out, than at Texas Stadium, if you know your way around.
  • I think this Stadium can get quiet pretty easily. First and foremost, way too big and too much stuff to do around, if the game is not good.
  • Finally, I think, if you want have a family outing and just get one of those nice Tailgating spots, it can be a real good family outing. I dont know any other stadium has that kind of tailgating spaces.

Good observations. The thought that there is lots to due other than watch the game really scares the crap out of me.

but the team did deserve to get booed at half time

Sorry dude, if you are one of those who booed, thats really nonsense. I was mad as any body else about the play of Cowboys in first half, but never did I think of Booing.

Cowboys were not Panthers yesterday, i..e 0-2 and good chance almost being eliminated of playoffs contention pretty soon. I thought of the idiots who used to Boo Troy Aikman at the end of his tenure with Cowboys.

When did Cowboys fans become Philly Fans?

Can you elaborate on the tailgating spaces? Thanks. Are they just over sized parking spots or does a grill like pop up out of the concrete?:D

I too went for the first time, and agree with the OP.

The stadium was amazing, the landscaping was really nice. I don't think I can say anything that has not been said about the stadium. Its very hard to take your eyes off the video board.......espcially when the cheerleaders are on there.

Tailgating is not what it was at the old stadium. Maybe its because it was a Monday game, but not much tailgating going on. The lots are all spread out, which may also be a reason.

We settled for the lot across from The Ballpark. It was a nice afternoon and you can only tailgate in the grassy areas of the parking lot. We got a really great spot, with plenty of space and nearby access to the woods, (if you know what I mean).

The walk to the stadium was much shorter than at Texas Stadium.

I will try to post some photos when I upload them.

This stadium is a must see.............................

Being at the game yesterday as well, I basically had a lot of the same experiences. People were way too loud when we were about to score and any attempts by people in the area to quiet them down some didn't work.

And I specifically heard at least two or three people behind me upset that Romo was throwing to Witten "too much". It's a total beating sitting in close proximity to people who obviously have no idea what's going on. I even got to hear someone blame Romo for a Flozell false start.

I was at the Giants game and walked away with one distinct impression .... no Rowdy (the mascot). Is that dunce finally gone? Banned from games? Or can he and Wade no longer be spotted at the same place and time?

Maybe I'm just die hard, but I didn't find the screen a distraction. I looked at it for replays, but I really loved seeing the whole field. I was at the Giants game. Not to rehash unpleasantness, but, for example, the last INT, I saw Hurd breaking across the field and had a moment reminiscent of Landry's "no, Danny, no!" before Romo threw the pass because I clearly saw the safety and knew no way that pass would be completed.

Awesome stadium though and maybe because it was a Sunday night, but the tailgating I saw was all the way down Lot 11 (where we parked) and on two sides of the stadium going down the street. Tents, satellite dishes, flat screens, all kinds of grills and setups, strip clubs giving out complimentary passes.... great.

One more thing on the cheering...I did notice some "wrong time" cheering, but I thought it was pretty amped up considering the major buzz kill with the early pick 6. Also, at the end as they marched methodically down the field. But overall, I thought it got pretty loud at times considering the open stadium. At the same time, I did notice a certain reserve among some folks in my section...couldn't understand it what with opening night and all.
