Depends on what Dak thinks is fair market value.Every bit of fair market value sounds like no discount to me.

Elite QB’s are judged by tears records and playoff success only by idiotic fans who obviously know nothing.sometimes I wonder if Cowboys fans actually pay attention
Prescott record
2016: 13-3
Are you paying him 25 million/year after his rookie season?
2017: 9-7
2018: 10-6
are you paying Dak 30 million/y after this?
2019: 8-8
are you paying Dak 35 million/y after that?
and after 2020: 2-3
are you paying him 40 million/y after that?
Now, before you say, these are team records and a lot of the losing was because of defense, I will say to you
1. Elite QBs are judged by team records and playoff success
2. if we had a horrible defense when we were paying our QB 2 million do you think our defense will get better once we are cap strapped paying him 40 million?
just think about these things before rooting for this guy to be paid
root for the Cowboys
Not the player
I agree with everything you said. I say trade him now and get more than a 3rd round comp pick.Dak is in Dallas for one more year, I hope. He's asking too much. Dallas can make a qualifying offer next year and get a 3rd round comp pick. I'll be good with that as long as he's gone. I like Dak but he's not worth that much. Trade up and draft his replacement this year.
Zac Wilson.
Yes, I would have paid him. I was gonna say something snarky for acting like I have no idea what the Cowboys record was for Dak's career but I decided to be civil.
Lol, Fish has serious ADHD. So frustrating to watch.Anyone that can’t stop eating and drinking for 5 minutes to make a point automatically loses credibility
so you’re paying Dak 35 million/y after an 8-8 2019 season?
like I said, be a fan of the Cowboys not the player
Not sure how you came to that observation. Your eyes told you that Romo was snake bit rather than the team around him wasn't built to win a SB? Damn.I actually rooted for Romo for about 5 years before realizing he would never wins SB even with a great defense. Dude was too snake bit. It took me less time to figure out Dak and Cousins
I’m not sure where you get that. Lol.please please please for the love of all that is holy stop with the non-exclusive stuff.
as I've explained many times on this board it is completely meaningless and the worst possible option for Dallas.
they would literally be better off with no tag than non-exclusive.
What about Dak has to agree do you guys not comprehend?https://sportdfw.com/2021/02/03/dallas-cowboys-brace-dak-prescott-may-want-3-year-deal/
This is the first link I saw. It's been pretty widely reported that the main point of contention was the years. Which is why the best time to get a deal done was after 2018. The Cowboys could have frontloaded the contract into that 2019 season when Dak was only making $2 million, and Dak would have been happy with a 5 year deal expiring in 2024. Now two years later all indications point to him wanting a 3 year deal.
Seems like Dak has changed his mind.No one is confirming anything so by that rationale this whole thread (and most of CZ is nonsense). If that is nonsense to you then you shouldn't even be on this post. What is the last thing that was actually confirmed by someone in the negotiations? I don't think we've heard anything directly since Dak said he didn't expect to be the highest paid qb 2 years ago.
What about Dak has to agree do you guys not comprehend?
Don’t block. Tell us how you really feel.Dak is a greedy prick who knows there isn't going to be anymore BIG contracts after this one so he's looking to cash in now! He's been in Dallas since 2016 and had ONE great year because of the O-line, nothing less and nothing more. When the O-Line started to breakdown the 13-3 season was just a dream to every Cowboy fan. Dak has been good at leading this team to victories over bottom feeders but he struggles BIG TIME when he's up against winning teams. Not worth the big bucks and JJ needs to move on from this greedy player and his blood thirsty agents!
Nobody is saying Dak doesn't have to agree. But the Cowboys' offers have been inadequate. Had they made better offers, I would look at Dak more as being the one holding things up.
He’s knowledgeable but he sometimes also gets “stuck” on a player and can’t be as objective as he should be in his position. I think he was that way on Witten and Dez at the end.Lol, Fish has serious ADHD. So frustrating to watch.
Fish: " so this is the greatest win in Dak's career. But....But....it's also a big win for the Cowboys too. Let me tell you why it's a big win for the Cowboys. Hold I need to eat a peanut first. Oh you're looking at my shirt now. Exclusive exclusive, you can buy this shirt and other products in the merch store. I don't know why someone would want a sticker with my face on it. That wasn't my idea. I'm reporting from my kitchen, do you like my kitchen?"
So.
Ridiculously.
Frustrating.
To.
Watch.
I seriously can not watch this guy without getting agitated. Just horrible camera presence.
I agree he's knowledgeable, but he also eats peanuts and gets distracted right when he's about to make a point. Kind of funny sometimes. I appreciate his work but some of his videos can be frustrating to watch cuz he draws them out. He’s knowledgeable but he sometimes also gets “stuck” on a player and can’t be as objective as he should be in his position. I think he was that way on Witten and Dez at the end.
This is common sense.I’m not sure where you get that. Lol.
He had a good year. Last year he wasn’t even the clear starter.
There’s not enough success to call him a sure thing.
If we were considering him in the second round, sure, whatever.
Even if we considered him at 10 and we didn’t have Dak in house I’d be pretty happy with taking a shot.
But people are talking about trading #10 and at least next years first and that’s assuming we have a top ten pick next year
Not sure why people think trading multiple firsts for a guy who had one good year is a pretty big gamble
Look at the record against average to above average teams. After you're done with this assignment get back to me............And this statement is what but arrogance? Why the hate.
Zeke STRUGGLES big time vs winning teams. And the d as usual is no where to be found.
