Not a bad offensive haul there

Worried about DLaw's injury though. Just when we were starting to get to the QB

Since we are 5-1 it's easy to credit the staff for staying patient with the injuries and not rushing anyone back. That could really pay off in the long run by letting here guys gets 100 percent. Seems like they learned last season after rushing Dez/Romo back.

Obviously expected Dez to be back but I'm most concerned about Claiborne. Concussions are usually 1-2 week things so hopefully he'll be back for the Philly game. We gonna need him.

According to a tweet I saw, Rodgers faced pressure on only 13% of his drop backs yesterday.

That's pretty awful if true.

Cam Newton just came back after a week. Mo will be fine.
I'm not happy but I much rather Mo have a concussion with the bye week coming then an actual injury. Gives him two weeks to pass concussion test without missing games

That number is not indicative of the actual plays.
The scheme was to keep AR in the pocket, not to let him get outside. Not to let him scramble and find an open WR or to run.
With a 4 man rush, they did a very good job of this. They conceded getting sacks as to control him. And they did get some pressure though.
Also later on, Marinelli changed it up, saying ok, they need to pass, we are not getting to him with 4 men rushing at times, but are containing him per the plan, so we will rush 3 and drop 8 in coverage.

The scheme worked. So I have no complaints. Hold AR to 3 FGs until mid way in the 4th quarter at Lambaeu. That is great for any defense. No matter if AR is on or off.

Being realistic here, we've been incredibly fortunate that QB's have struggled mightly against us in regards to accuracy.

The lack of our pass rush is ugly, and had Wash, SF, or maybe even GB been accurate with the football, those games could easily have been losses. Now granted, we forced the issue, but at the same time, if NFL QB's in those games act like NFL QB's in regards to accuracy, it could be a much dif story.

We only rush 4, and giving QB's all day in the pocket is just playing with fire. If they're on, you're playing a defense (bend dont break) that is predicated on the opposing QB making a mistake. But when the field shrinks in the red zone, I prefer this method, just not between the 20's.

While your statement is probably true, not all concussions are equal. It also depends on the player and the number and severity of prior concussions. With that bein said, I hope you are right.

That was the game plan. Dropping 7 or 8 in coverage and giving him no one to throw to.

Heard Mo already checked out "concussions for dummies" at the library to study up for the concussion test. We should be ok.
