Realistically, Lynch will likely be gone at 20 to the Jets. At worst, to the Cardinals at 27. I could see the Broncos trading up into the late teens or early 20's to snag him too. There's even been buzz about the Saints taking him in the Top 10.

I cannot, however, see him ending up a Cowboy.

If Lynch is gone by then, I do not see a QB worthy of a first round pick--hopefully the Cowboys agree. We need a PASS RUSHER more than a WR late in the first round, but who knows with the Cowboys.

Why not?

If we trade up for a quarterback in the first that isn't Lynch I...... will be very mad and kill dragons in Skyrim rather than watch the rest of the draft. Yes, THAT mad.

I was a QB guy like you

Then I took an arrow in the knee

Cause we don't have the ammunition to trade up into the teens or early 20's. It would cost us an arm and a leg. And furthermore, the 2nd round pick will almost certainly be used on a D lineman if we do indeed go Ramsey with the first pick. If we trade up late into the 2nd, it would be for a DE/DT.

There has been alot of talk about the Jets wanting to move out of 20. We may have even been linked by Dallas media , cant remember

Im guessing the other trade refers to the Dolphins trading to 3

Ah.

I'd rather tell Miami they can have our 4th pick for their 2nd and 3rd rounders, maybe a 5th or 6th as well, then take Rankins at 13 and move around with those extra 2s and 3s to get Lynch or maybe Doctson or Treadwell.

I think it was Broaddus about a month ago. Jets only have 6 picks. No 5 and 6th rounders this year.

Well, we may have our dancing partner.

I do wonder if the Saints are willing to spend a pick on Lynch after spending a 3rd on Grayson last year. Seems very wastefull, especially when you have a QB guru like Payton as your coach.

Move to 13 and grab Rankins. Trade 34 and a 3rd for the 20th and take Lynch. You still have 42 (I think) and like 78 (I think) and can go with BPA there. Maybe Joseph at SS in the 2nd and then MIller at WR in the 3rd (he'll probably go higher).

If you came out of this draft with your first four picks being Rankins, Lynch, Joseph and Miller, that would be quite a decent haul there. And with a bunch of 6th round picks you can even take on some risks like maybe Jaylon Smith, etc.

Payton has interviewed Lynch 3 times, so they must have interest. 13 may be too high though.
