Titans running back LenDale White, who knows a thing or two about being eclipsed by another player at the same position, talked about whether former starting quarterback Vince Young is prepared to return to action during Monday's edition of Sporting News Radio's The Monty Show.

"Vince just has to be patient, things happen, you know?" White said. "You've just got to be ready, when that times comes and they throw an opportunity your way you've gotta be ready to jump into the driver's seat and take that wheel and bring home the race and I think Vince is ready for that."

White then was careful not to bench current starter Kerry Collins prematurely. "When they give [Vince] the opportunity he'll be ready to go, until then or whatever the case is, if Kerry's our quarterback we're going to go out there and fight for Kerry and try to get some wins."

Regardless of whether it's Collins or Young under center, White thinks that the Titans will return after the bye week with a new attitude.

"We've all just got to come together and believe," White said. "I believe in all my teammates that we're going to get the job done. And I know that they are going to get it done. The bye week couldn't have come at a better time for us to regroup, refocus, and get everything under control. I think once we get back from the bye week and get our heads back on top of our shoulders we can come back and get a win."

Getting a win is something the Titans haven't done since December 21, when they beat the Steelers and White stomped on a Terrible Towel.

Since that day, the Titans have lost eight straight games.

Their 59-0 drubbing by the Patriots was one of the low points in franchise history, and it suggests that White's teammates might not be getting many or any wins this year.

Wade wants out of his contract! Makes sense now. This is the perfect way out by the end of the season. It eliminates talk of a new deal anything like that.

What is funny is their was an internal battle because Fisher did not want VY and he lost out to the owner who wanted VY to sell excitement and tickets to the fans

You beat me to it. It's absurd to think that a coach would deliberately check out on his team. I expect a better effort from the Titans in their next game. coaches are part of a fraternity that knows that they get hired to get fired at some point. I defy anybody to manage 53 egos of professional football players and get everything they want in every game. It would be pretty damn hard.

It happens because this is the NFL. He also hasnt consistently won in this league anyway, so why is it a surprise? He's been their coach for 15+ years I think now and only has 6 winning seasons.
