If he doesn't care about those, imagine how bad the one's the Garrett family has access too...
Touché.

Right. Its too late in the game to root for any other teams. My joy as a football fan is relishing the misery of Eagles and Skins fans. Pathetic as it is its the state of things as they are.
the coaching staff didnt break romos collarbone.
Exactly.
So either suffer or find a new team. For me, being a fan of the Dallas Cowboys isn't a decision. It's who I am. I literally hate the other 31 teams. So I must suffer.
To be fair though, running a football team is fun.
Nothing is going to change. The injury excuse saves everybody.
Naw, there will be some minimal changes. This way they can say upgrades in the coaching ranks were made.
Maybe the special teams coach. One can hope.
I don't think the money is that big of an issue.
If he thought another coach would get the team further, are we really going to believe that the man wouldn't pay $24M?
He could afford to pay 5-6X that amount every year and still lead the league in revenue.
True, and it's not like it counts against the salary cap. But it would be unprecedented in NFL history to make such a move. It would be a gigantic embarrassment for one, to pay a guy $24 million to walk away. Also, who exactly is going to come in that's worth anything and coach after the GM gives a guy a 5 year extension and then fires him after one year when the QB misses 12 games and the WR misses several as well? Jerry's meddling already constructs a big enough barrier as it is to hiring quality coaching talent. Sean Payton or someone of that caliber is certainly not going to come here if something like that goes down. It has dysfunction written all over it.
No, to calculate the odds of Garrett's not returning, all you have to do is go count the number of times in NFL history coaches have been fired with 4 years left on their deal, and then put a "percent" after it. There you go.
Doesn't make sense to change until there is a new QB
Sean Payton hasnt won a game that Brees didnt start.
Making tony learn a new offense is probably one reason for reluctance to fire JG. No doubt. When the next QB is ready, a new offense should come with it.
Who comes in? Someone who will take $3M per year? Someone who thinks they are a better coach than Jason?
Nobody even knows how many coaches have been fired with 4 years remaining on their contract. That's a nonsensical point to even consider.
What do you mean nobody knows? It's not a secret. Here's a hint. Try to think of one. Just one. In the history of the NFL. Surely you can think of one.
I'll even rule out the Cowboys for you. Wade, 1 year left. Campo 2 years left. Gailey 3 years left. Landry, 1 year left. 31 teams left, get to work.
I will even help out.................Tennessee Titans............Wisenhunt was fired 6 games into his second season on a 5 year contract.
That is basically 3.5 years the Titans just ate.
Not saying Garrett is going to get fired (he wont) , but eating 3 or 4 years left on a contract is not unheard of in the NFL.
4 is unheard of. 3 is not, though I would reckon there are only a small handful of them in league history. Dennis Erickson with the 49ers comes to mind as well. We are all familiar with Gailey who was a pretty weird case, as he made the playoffs both of his years here and Jerry even says firing him was a mistake. Gailey was also supposedly one of the lowest paid coaches in the league, so the financial sting was minimal. Garrett is probably in the top 10 in salary.
