To be honest, too many people are judging Heath off the Saints game in which the entire defense was awful. When he's played in limited snaps in other games, he's been VERY solid. And is one of only defenders on our team that finds the football. He creates turnover unlike the rest

Oh I like Heath. I just don't think he is suited nor should he be in a in the bod position. He's better roaming centerfield

But is Heath an all down player, or is he more lf a Dime Safety, which does have tremendous value considering how much Wilcox was on the field in that role.

How does Heath hold up in base in the box?

I like Heath, I was at the game he stoned AP at the goal line and had exactly zero help to prevent him from powering into the end zone. He has had my respect since then even though AP scored, it wasn't on him.

As for Frazier, I didn't like him as a pick, he wasn't draftable and I don't have hopes for him being "the next Barry Church" and the fact that that is basically his ceiling and they knew it aggravates me.

I've got no issues giving Heath a shot at the starting SS. He's just 25 and was a young player coming from a small school. Now with four seasons under his belt I think he's acclimated himself to the speed of the game and had time to learn the FS/SS spots. I just never understood the hyper criticism of him. It's not like he's made mistakes I've seen Church make or Wilcox.

Heath had a decent game in the playoffs and now everyone has him tagged as a starter. Before the season started, everyone wanted him cut.
Exactly.

I really hope that Heath is not considered the starter after the draft comes around.

He is a good enough player and teams "need" players like him, but they are kidding themselves if they believe he would not be exploited if teams prepared for him.

But looking at the track record Marinelli has demonstrated with devotion to marginal talent like Chris Conte and Major Wright, it wouldn't shock me at all.
