Five most underrated players in the NFL
From Yardbarker
By Vincent Frank

We checked in on the five-most overrated players in the NFL earlier this week. That list was comprised of one future Hall of Fame player well past his prime and others who have seemingly put up good seasons throughout their career. It wasn’t a knock on the players included. Rather, it just goes to show us how certain players are overvalued in today’s NFL.

Now looking at the five-most underrated players in the NFL, there is an alarming consistency here. Some of these Pro Bowlers have played on disappointing teams, making them a product of their environment. More than that, there is one particular quarterback on this list that has found himself unfairly compared to the greats of the past.

Using a combination of advanced stats, NFL Network’s list of the Top 100 players (rankings in parenthesis) and how each individual stacks up contractually, here are the five-most underrated players in the league heading into the 2015 season.

1. Tony Romo, quarterback, Dallas Cowboys
2. Golden Tate, wide receiver, Detroit Lions
3. Muhammad Wilkerson, defensive end, New York Jets
4. Anquan Boldin, wide receiver, San Francisco 49ers
5. Matt Forte, running back, Chicago Bears

IMO Matt Forte should be at the number 1 position followed by Tony Romo. Forte with our Oline would be sweet.

Forte
Romo
Bolden
Wilkerson
Tate

It's a pretty strong list overall. Romo is without question the most underrated.

To each his own but Forte has been a great player for a very subpar offense in Chicago check my history I am a full Romo fan just my opinion that Romo is 1b vs Forte 1a. If I had made the list it would of included Philip Rivers in the top 5.

Coaches and those who really are football smart have never under rated Tony. Its only hacks, mediots and the psychotic haters that have.

I don't know how Romo and Forte are on a list like this but since they are they should definetely be 1 and 2.
