Fix the DL before spending money at Safety

Yea there is no way a 3rd round guy could come in and have 5 sacks at a rookie DT....right Mr Collins. Cause that didn't happen.

5 sacks isn’t causing havoc. If your leading sack guy has 5 you’re terrible.

They need a dominant level rusher of a minimum of 8 sacks and 16-20 pressures. No one on this team and no rookie in the 2nd-3rd round gives you that without a HEALTHY DLaw.

We need a good DT or 2 to rotate with Woods and Collins. The talent falls into an abyss after those 2.

PFF had Ross and Reid higher than Collins. Ross is ours for a couple of years more. We have some depth. If you count Crawford, it's a decent rotation. That's a decent DT or two.

Not something we can't upgrade, but not cause for big concern either. We need more. We'll have more by the end of free agency and the draft.

This is the problem with keeping Marinelli around. He's a big proponent and a big voice in Stephen's ear about going cheap along the DL, especially DT.

It is stunning to me that they have no desire whatsoever to improve their team and take that next step in FA.

If Irving hadn't flaked, he'd be getting a contract this year.

Woods is fantastic value. Woods is a big advantage for the rest of the team. We've got a good, young starter. Keep em coming, Rod.

The signing isn't preventing Tank's surgery. That is a choice made by Tank. A poor choice, but poor choices seem to be a common thread going around these days.

5 sacks for a 3rd round guy is pretty good. Hell most 1st or 2nd round guys aren't getting the numbers you want. Unrealistic. It happens but you can't always expect a tom Brady type player outside of the 1st round.

We need, and can, do both. ET is out there. He's a huge upgrade at S, and costs nothing other than money. Make it work, other teams do.

There is no DL FA comparable to the talent upgrade that ET represents, but this is a deep draft class for the position, and they should be able to at least find good talent at DT in rounds 2 and 3. DE concerns me. Thanks, Randy Gregory.

Reid got abused in the rams game and Daniel Ross played a grand total of 284 plays last year . if that's the cowboys depth they are in trouble
