Let me first prepare myself for the "oh boy, another T.O. thread," "hater...," "it's the hateful media," and "he's been nothing but a team player and is misunderstood" threads...............okay, I'm ready.

I won't bash T.O....I don't understand him, I probably never will. I don't see him becoming the distraction he was in Philly or S.F. because I trust he's not that stupid, but his constant desire for the limelight and idiotic comments and interviews while we are on the cusp of what could be a surprising and wonderful season is beyond my comprehension.

I'm sorry...you can't blame this on the media...T.O. now says that he too has been concerned about his drops, that it just isn't him, and the only thing he can come up with is that it's a result of not being focused because he's "not happy"....we now hear that he doesn't blame the media for the bad press he's received, but his own teammates...someone is leaking his issues to the media...he doesn't trust anyone in the locker room.

We have yet to see the entire Irvin interview, but we have clearly seen Irvin's own discomfort as he asked the question "why don't you, as T.O. make sure these things don't happen"...in other words, why aren't you walking a thin line and making sure there is no stupid stuff for the media to talk about.

My bottom line is this...T.O. is an integral part of this team right now. We aren't going to be as successful without him because we don't really have any serious quality behind him. We, along with Parcells and hopefully his teammates, have to just ignore everything that comes out of his mouth and pray that he manages to keep a lid on it...I only care about what goes on on the field right now and for the last push to and through the playoffs.

Could there be a worse, more inappropriate or awkward time for another round of T.O.'s silly crap? Call it serious or innocent, hate him or love him, there's no way short of total idiocy that anyone can say this isn't troublesome or that it means nothing. I for one wouldn't be surprised if T.O. is making just enough noise to make the coach and front office uncomfortable, that he'll continue to play at a fairly high level, but that this is all about being free at the end of this one season in Dallas with the crazy idea that he'll be rewarded for a relatively benign year in Dallas with a bigger FA contract from someone....but that's just my knee jerk reaction to try and explain how a professional football player could go on TV and talk about the things he is talking about, even if he feels they are true...not now, not now.

However, I refuse to let this ruin my season...those of us who have been fans long enough to watch the Cowboys' early struggles in the 60's, the glory years of 17 straight playoff appearances filled with big game disappointments in the 70's and 80's, the downhill spiral before Jerry Jones and the triplets, and the horrible recent years deserve better right now as fans. With the Cowboys actually winning and on the rise, looking like a top challenger in the NFC, and with SB fantasies dancing in our preChristmas dreams, I refuse to get bogged down in T.O. controversy.

I don't understand him...I can't respect him...but I'm going to enjoy every minute of every game for the rest of the 2006-7 season, regardless of what comes out about or from Terrell Owens.

Go Cowboys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
