Moore was before the draft but even then they were not going after him with purpose. It was toe dipping. Miami did not pay out the wazoo for him.

He also knows that he's highly regarded and that tge Bucs turned down several trade offers.

When guys like Osweiler get deals like he did, everyone wants to get their turn.

It could be that Stephen mislead many on this board by saying it was high priority. Obviously, the priority was there but, the
big contract dollars wasn't. If you can't get a Miami Moore, you probably can't entice anybody with a name.

Exactly. And he obviously wasn't any sort if quarterback of the future option. He would have competed with "their guy" for a roster spot.

Not to mention they could have signed Robert Ayers. They are raving about him in camp. He was a perfect fit for this defense.

Two Free agent signings would have solved two huge problems. Robert Ayers and Chad Henne.

Have 4 qb's and dress two on gamedays. Would have been set for multiple years and the position would be a strength. Same goes if you sign ayers. The ends would be fine with a lead guy like ayers. After D law's suspension is up him and ayers would have been a very good group on the end with the others as role players.

I guess this is a money thing which is really insulting to the fans considering all this family talks about is how much money they spend on everything.

The Chiefs probably have a better shot at the playoffs than the Cowboys. Can't blame him.

I think it might be more that everyone has seen backups that have had some success elsewhere come through and nearly destroy their careers here. I think QBs around the league have no faith in the coaches and the system and would prefer not to be here unless as a last resort. Weeded and Cassell have probably spread a not too friendly word around.

Conversely, the last backup quarterback to leave Kansas City was highly-regarded and got paid pretty well...

Knowing Dallas they would probably give up Leary plus more. They are scrambling right now.

I don't know about that. They're feast or famine these days. They might go with Showers and Prescott and just bring in a 4th guy to be a camp arm and ride with Moore as IR designated to return. Or they might wait for Manziel to go tru rehab and bring him in in week 5. Sounds far fetched but you know Jerry loves them bargains. You never know with the Jones'.

Cant blame him. Reid is a QB developer, though I thought they were full over there.

What's his track record in the last 15 years developing top flight QB's and having them get you a Super Bowl ring.

McNabb - very good bus driver - but in rush hour pukes.
Alex Smith - good bus driver.
Nick Foles - good bus driver.

To have any one of these QB's get to the Super Bowl and win... You need an outstanding supporting cast on offense and defense.

I do not think KC is quite there yet.

Our backup lineman have played a bunch the last three seasons and allowed this team to keep playing the same way.
Getting rid of leary for a guy in cleveland who might be cut is just terrible. There has to be somebody in the front office that gets this and get through to the jones's about it..

The backup lineman have been as important as the backup qb. Where would this team have been in '14 without Jeremy Parnell. Same goes for bernadeau. They are important. Why just give away Leary?
