With Sean Payton now in New Orleans, do the Cowboys have an inside shot at the # 2 pick, via trade?

No way. I think what it means is they are seriously considering drafting Vince Young.

Why would they trade the #2 pick when they need a QB and will have their pick of the best two in this draft?

why would they draft Lienart? He doesnt have a strong arm, and makes a lot of high passes. His stats in the rose bowl are inflated, you probably remember the majority of his passes were screens to bush and jarrett and they took them for big plays. His whole season was like that

Couple of reasons Leinart is the best QB in the draft.

Leinart can start right now Young needs to sit

Look at Paytons QBs through his career. The only one you could even consider mobile was Carter, and young was working with him to stand in the pocket.

What makes you think Lienart is ready to start right now and Vince isnt?

I seem to recall every expert say Vince in one of the best college qb's ever. I dont remember ANYONE commenting on Lienart like that

Go read 99% of all scouting reports out there they all say the same thing. Leinart could start Day 1 and Young needs to sit and learn. NFL doesnt run the Zone read shotgun offense

All the experts jumped on Young after the rose bowl, before that everyone of them were talking up Leinart as the next Montana leading the "greatest team ever"

And thats fair to say, b/c Ryan Leaf was considered by many to be a better qb than Peyton Manning was. There were talks of Him being the #1 pick overall over Peyton also

I don't think any of us can predict the future.

Show me where I predicted the future? The only thing I did was make a guess which QB would be taken

He may bust, but not in the fashion of Leaf. I think he has a little better head on his shoulders. Leaf was a bona fide chump.

Apparently you haven't been watching the Lienart that I and the rest of the nation have been observing. He has excellent footwork for a college QB. I haven't seen a QB coming out of college with footwork like his with the exception of John Elway. He looks like an NFL QB in his drop and release. He has excellent timing and fundamentals. He has amazing accuracy and a strong arm. I would take him first overall. Young had a great game but he won't get away with playing like that in the NFL. Lienart's style of play is much more professional and his learning curve will be far faster than Young's in the NFL. And he is one of the greatest QB's to come out of college. He won 2 national championships and played in a third. He would have been the #1 pick in the draft last year and that's not even debateable since you won't find one professional journalist who would argue that Alex Smith would have been selected ahead of Lienart.

I hope the Saints don't draft Young. Whoever they pick is doomed...
