Without Bill Parcells, the Cowboys top the second-half of the NFL coaching staffs. Here are Nos. 17-32.

Also...
Ranking the staffs 1-16

17. Cowboys (Last Year: 16)
One of the big talking points making the media rounds this off-season states that Wade Philips will install a more aggressive, blitz-heavy defense than Bill Parcells used. Sounds great, but there aren't many facts to support the assertion. Phillips' Chargers rushed six defenders just five percent of the time, the sixth-lowest total in the NFL. They rushed seven defenders less than one percent of the time, ranking them 31st in the league. Parcells' Cowboys rushed six 12 percent of the time (sixth) and seven four percent of the time (fourth). As a general rule, the phrase "more aggressive than Bill Parcells" should be greeted with suspicion, unless it's a description of a Visigoth warlord.

Phillips is a competent NFL lifer who will keep practices crisp and install sound game plans. He has a lighter touch than Parcells, and players will appreciate that in the short term. He doesn't bring anything special to the table as a game-day coach, and he won't elevate the talent level in Dallas. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has the hardest job this side of Alaskan crab fisherman: he must keep Terrell Owens content while installing a new system. The 41-year old Garrett will be 51 years old by December. Assistant head coach Tony Sparano, a holdover from the Parcells regime, provides some experience and stability on the offensive staff.

Football outsiders stinks..

thats my opinon anyway. Any magazine that publishes things like....."Pat watkins is more of a linebacker and was viewed that way as a prospect" or however they said it, basically stinks. Flat out stinks.

I could see us moving up a lot if the young co-ordinators can get the job done.
