For aging team members, it may be now or never.

Bill Parcells. Terry Glenn. Keyshawn Johnson. Drew Bledsoe. Their best days are likely behind them, if not still here for glimpses at times. The NFL season is brutal. 8-6 is tough to come by. A game like this Sunday is rare. Can they really afford to wait until next season? Will Glenn really make it through another full season? Will Drew really go another 16 games without an injury despite the abuse? Will Parcells age catch up with him? For the core of this team, the future is now. This weekend might bet their best shot in the twilight of their careers. I expect to see their best.

They'll all be back. This year's success was a nice surprise. Next year is when the real run will take place after another nice offseason.

But do we want them back? Key can't get open dispite 1-on-1 coverage, and Glenn is doubled.

We need a Playmaker at WR who can beat the double teams and make teams suffer when they single him. We dont have that right now.

The old guys are only going to get older ... and slower...

Um, why didnt you expect to see it last week? Do you suppose they have a flair for the dramatic just like in the movies? Wait til the last possible moment to save the day?

Maybe the prospect of staying alive for the division crown didnt mean anything to em.. they want to do it the hard way... from #6 seed to SB victory, baby!!

Do ya imagine?

Once in awhile you have a complete team failure. It doesn't usually happen twice in a row.

Last year, after sustaining his team's 6th loss (then 3-6) Drew led the team to 6 straight must-win-game (4 of 5 on the road) victories. If he can do it again (4 of 5 on the road) we'll be SB winners.

Well, at least he's not playing Pittsburg's backups again.

Good thing it didnt have to be 5 out of 6, huh? ;)

I think Bledsoe has at least 2 more years in him. He's 33 and 35 seems to be about the cutoff point for QB's these days.

I think if Larry Allen wanted to and stayed healthy, he probably could play until he's 40. He wouldn't be great by any means, but probably decent. In all reality I say he's got 2 years with the team at most since he's a bit pricey.

Flozell probably has 2-3 years left in him. I think after this year, he just solidified his future with the team even more.

Glover has about 2 years left in him at the most. Ellis has 3 years. Problem is these guys get paid a lot and they have some good looking young guys that are better suited for the defense. Pepper Johnson played well last week and that doesn't look good for Glover's future.

Keyshawn may have one more year left in the tank. Terry Glenn probably has at least 2 years left, but he's always an injury concern.

I think from a physical standpoint they could all stay on the team. But what it comes down to is cap numbers and whether or not Bill and Jerry think they are worth the amount of money they are spending on them.

Exactly, the Cowboys need an upgrade at WR. Key is old and slow and despite what he thinks, a very average WR at this stage of his career. I love how hard he plays and his willingness to block, but he's not a difference maker at WR. Glenn has had a good season, but he has disappeared plenty of times in big games this year. Obviously, teams can take him away pretty easily because he's somewhat limited in the routes he can run. The Cowboys need an explosive WR who can get yards after the catch and be a difference maker no matter what coverage a defense throws at you. Another year of Key and Glenn as the starting WR's is not a good thing in my opinion.

Yup.

And look, theres no switches that can be flipped at this point. The road offense is brutal. Has been every single game basically starting with Oakland.

Doesnt mean the Carolina game isnt winnable though. It just wont be because of the offense if we do.

Was Elway's best days behind him when he won a couple of superbowls?

There are 22 starters not just the 3 you named. We're not making a run this year.
