Since signing with Jacksonville after being cut by the Dallas Cowboys, Houston native and original Texan Aaron Glenn has been active for only one Jaguars game, playing sparingly in a 23-14 victory over Denver on Sept. 23. The cornerback from Aldine Nimitz and Texas A&M is in his NFL 14th season. He played for the Texans from 2002 through 2004 before spending two seasons with the Cowboys.

I still think we should have kept him. Having him in the nickel package is much better than Nate Jones. And just imagine if Newman or Reeves go down against the Pats. Reeves and Jones as starting corners? Yikes.

Yup, same here.

For OP: Just because Glenn hasn't been active with Jaguars, doesn't mean it would be same with the Cowboys.

Yeah, instead he just wouldn't be on the team. Oh wait...

I think Glenn is finished as a player. No doubt that Reeves gives more to the Cowboys than what Glenn could (this year). It's looking like Nate Jones can too considering that he plays the slot and can play some safety.

Just think, if Parcells were here there's a good chance Glenn would've been starting at left corner all this time instead of Reeves.

True, but Jones is actually an excellent blitzer and is pretty good in special teams and is much cheaper. I don't think you really expect both starting corners to go down and I think it was still a decent move when you look at what Jones brings to the table versus what Glenn can bring to the table at this point of his career.

how good are the jags corners? Have they had injuries? Keeping Glenn would have meant probably leting Brown or Jones go. Brown has not shown much, but Jones has done ok. One thing about keeping Glenn was his veteran presence and guidance and advice. That is hard to measure in worth.
