I REALLY hope he's able to play. His presence alone makes the D have to respect the passing game.

Stephen Jones "What we're not going to do is something that's not smart. We can't do something that's not in Dez's best interest."

Not sure what happened withthe tweet, but it was gone.

Does anybody know how you can medically determine if a bone is healed enough? How do they know if hes coming back too soon? Is there some kind of bone density test? Exray?

Dez is working his tail off and I respect that...but, as I said before, once he's running and cutting I will be happy. Maybe he begins doing that in the next 4 days off for the team and they check his progress Tuesday. Checking if there is swelling or pain. Then he'll have to do it again and practice.

The Seattle game seems more likely should there be no setbacks. But, I'm not ever gonna doubt Dez or his will. T.O. and Rod Woodson played in Super Bowls no one expected them to be ready to play in...so it's possible.

Just want him to be fully healed, why risk a career for a season full of uncertainty? If Romo is not progressing to his target date of return then there is no need to rush Dez back. I'm not against IRing Dez and Romo and loading up for next year.

I keep reading people stating they don't want Dez to risk his career by coming back to early. I get that he could break it again and be out the rest of the season. But is coming back to early really a risk to his career?
Durant re injured his foot but he's going to be back this year.

I'm sure the doctors won't clear him if the fracture isn't healed. No one but the team, Dez, Dez' family and reps know the degree of the fracture so saying or thinking it is not healed right now is speculation. Just like I am speculating that he likely wouldn't be working at practice with the bands if it isn't healed already. And I am speculating when I say that he wouldn't have done "a lot this week..." nor would he be doing "even more next week..." as Stephen Jones is quoted as saying, if it weren't already healed.

My conjecture is based on evidence from those in the know (Stephen Jones quotes; Jerry Jones quotes; and visual of Dez in pads and helmet on the practice field and statements Dez has made regarding the degree of injury.)

We all hope and want Dez to be 100% when he steps back on the field but we are all speculating some on stronger evidence than others but speculating nonetheless.

Good question, I guess the mri it, and go by how dez says it feels.
If he goes up for pass, and comes down on the foot, it better be healed.
What if it gets stepped on?

Even if he comes back, he wont be in game shape.
People think deZ from last year will just suddenly show up, I dont think so.
Better to wait maybe even tampa game.

Dez isn't waiting another 3 weeks.

We all know Dez has heart and is tough. No way would Dez's injury keep him out as long as Julio Jones's injury (yes, I question Julio's heart). That is what worries me. Dez rushing things because he has so much heart and is an ultimate competitor.
