Ahmad Brooks, whom Cincinnati selected out of Virginia in the third round of the supplemental draft in July, had his first NFL start and had 11 tackles against Tampa Bay.

There were those who tried to tell us he'd never amount to squat, but here he is, in the starting lineup before his rookie season is even half over, and he had a pretty good game for himself in his first start...

well think of it this way...when Thurman goes on a crime spree and the league suspends him they have Brooks....then when Thurman is paroled Brooks can have his turn at mayhem and Odell can return to the MLB spot

the problem comes if Thurman and brooks become members of the same posse

I suspect you already know... but of course, how he's playing since becoming the starter is the important issue, isn't it??
