What is your plan to replace Romo if he retires next year, or the following year?

Let's say Romo stays healthy all year and wins the SB and rides off into the sunset, or he is injured and decides he's had enough, what is the plan?

That plan worked well for the Skins
Trading up from even the middle of the draft to QB range is a very expensive proposition

I was kinda jokin, but if we won the SB for the first time in 21 years and Romo did retire, itd be well worth 2 years of drafts....

Is this the last draft the NFL is ever going to have? I must have missed something.

So would I, but picking a QB this year doesnt mean thatll happen either....

Very true. Talent wise I think they are walking into a very good situation having a true #1 WR and an OL with 3 all pros and 1 guy who could be one in the very near future. Very few QB's come into the league with that luxury

If it was me I would be looking at. QB this year and go D on day 2 and look for a WR next year and go D on day 2.

Reason being, we have Bryant locked up for 4 more seasons and he will be over 30 I believe when his contract is done. Taking a WR in first next year you have a guy that can take over as that bell cow WR once Bryant hits that 3rd contract over the age of 30

No but with Romo here it would be nice to transition into having a QB that been in the league for 2 or 3 years..

Also, losing Romo completely cripples this team and Romo is aging, has a messed up back, and just broke his shoulder twice.

The smartest thing we could do to keep our season alive if we lose Romo for an extended period is to draft a legit talent at QB and not a basic D End like Bosa or a corner.

Heck, at least for entertainment purposes I would rather see Wentz out there then Kellen Moore or some scrub like that.

Garrett teaches a horribly bland style of football that is hard to watch.

No way a rookie qb will keep this team afloat.

They shouldn't go 1-11 either but with Garrett you never know.

We didn't need much from our coaches and QBs to keep us in the division title hunt this year and they couldn't pull it off.

Garretts the main reason it won't happen. He likes to handcuff and is the most conservative coach ever and these why dallas loses games.

I think the plan is a win now mentality of trying to attack the draft and FA for guys to surround Romo to win with.

The counter is when will we pick in the top 5 again to get a quality QB?

It''s a good debate and I'd probably be happy either way.

3 pro bowls, only one all pro.
