Seems like they got the kinks worked out and are ready to rock 'n roll with Madden 08. Look at all of the new features.

And for those of you crying for gang tackling...here it is. This game is going to be fantastic after the 07 dropoff, especially since they have figgured out how to get it right for the 360.

These will be great changes, however there were subtle things lacking in 07 that they don't mention in here that i hope are changed.

For one thing, you could not change a guy's jersey number, or position in 07 for the 360, which got really annoying. You'd sign a free agent or draft a guy, and you'd have two guys with the same number, or a number 0 running around, and you couldn't do anything about it.

Or changing an OLB to a MLB, or a DE to a OLB, couldn't happen. And DE couldn't be added to the depth chart at OLB.

I also didn't like that the Hall of Fame players that you unlock for the roster didn't have some option to take them off of free agency if you did not want them.

I would start a new franchise, and all of the sudden you have all these teams signing hall of fame players as rookies with 99 ratings, and it changes everything. It could be fun to play that way, but i would have liked an option for it.

And to tell you the truth, i wasn't the biggest fan of the mini-games in the 360 version of 07. I liked the mini-camp from the old versions, which i had for the gamecube before getting my 360. You had the rookie-All Madden difficulties, with a lot more drills than 07. Maybe this is not the consensus, but i liked the old mini camp drills.

I'll believe it when I see it. This is just the yearly EA Spin cycle.

IGN are so phoney anyway, they claim the past few Maddens have been disapointing but have scored both of them for the 360 in the middle 80's.

Seriously.

I will bet whoever that the official NFL rule book still hasnt been implemented. Which means you can take your 100 speed rated Devin Hester and completely forget trying to run back short field goal attempts.

I don't really give a crap about "new features". I want them to improve the exitsting features/gameplay, then worry about "new features".

Every year Madden gives a large dose of "Oh it's great this year" and every year it disappoints.

A small thing I want is to be able to see the other player's "career" to be able to see how they play. They had it on the regular Xbox but, on the 360, the only way to see other people's "career" is to join and lobby.

Another thing they need to add is being able to set your own depth charts in the menu so that way you have your depth chart the way you want it before the game even starts. I hate having to insert Bobby Carpenter before every game.

If they really improved the Oline blocking and defenses it will be a big step in the right direction.

I agree 100%.

Forget the new features (of course those are the selling points, so EA won't) and improve the AI.

Every year it takes me weeks of messing with the sliders to get the game to react in any kind of realistic fassion as far as stats are concerned. It's so frustrating and time-consuming, I eventually gave up on the Madden francise.

I gave up on the Madden franchise the minute I stuck ESPN NFL 2k5 into my Xbox

I haven't looked back ever since. All it takes is roster updates and I save myself $60 every season on the sorriest excuse for a football game that I've ever seen (madden....)

NCAA has always blown away Madden in gameplay. No matter how long I've tried to play Madden 07, I always come back to NCAA 07, which, in my opinion, is one of the best games ever.

Since they don't make NFL2k5 or NCAA for the pc I'll never play them. I just don't have a use for a console system.

Me either.

Unless they stop making games for the PC...I would never buy a console.
