Let's just hope the games we're winning now haven't been due to TO putting us "over the top" so to say.

People like to think we'll only get better from here, but literally what if he's the simple reason why we've been so good since he's gotten here?

He is part of the reason we were so good but Tony Romo is the main reason.

Drew Bledsoe had all these same weapons plus Terry Glenn playing the best ball of his life and he was completely inept.

Insert Tony Romo and all of a sudden the line can block, TO can get the ball, and our offense just accelerated and took off.

Romo is the #1 reason the star has started twinkling again and we're not in 5-11 hell.

I will guarantee one or more in 2009.

Hope you're right but you know as well as anyone we're 1 injury away from a horrible season. Romo, Demarcus Ware, Roy Williams or Jason Witten have a season ending injury and say goodbye to 2009. Felix Jones gets hurt for the season again and we definitely don't win a playoff game.

Our running game that we will rely on heavily will become too 1 dimensional and our passing game won't be able to wing it. Our defense isn't stout enough to not have an offense that can average over 21 points a game. All of this of course can be said for any team in this league. That's why I back off when guaranteeing wins. Glad someone has the cajones though.

I don't think TO was responsible for the Cowboys not going anywhere in the playoffs. Until the QB can control turnovers (there were ALOT...INTs and fumbles), and there is a defense on the field that can paly consistently...we aren't gonna sniff the playoffs. I guess it will be the Jason Witten show this season, because after him...there is a huge dropoff. Please spare the Roy Williams is a #1 replies because he has 1 (one) season of 1000 yds that I recall from a passing team. Not saying he isnt a good WR, he's just not got the deep speed and if we're counting on jump ball receptions, get ready for a record INT year for Romo.

although I hate excuses, I will ride on the thought that we will no longer gameplan to one guy and force throws to one guy, and now will play as a team and be better for it.

Meanwhile the Eagles just kicked the ever loving crap out of TOs Cowboys.

I'm really not sure anyone could reach any further to try and make a point.

This post should have pretty much ended the thread.

The 49ers have won 25 total games in the five seasons since they got rid of Owens.

For anyone who thinks Dallas will be better off without him, look at San Francisco.

They have become a complete mess.

You might want to reword that bet.
I don't run from my own mouth. If my alligator mouth wrote a check that the Cowboys butts can't cash, so be it. I've been wrong before. I will be again. Big deal.

You can not compare the Cowboys team now to the 9ers team then!

we went 9-7 this last year...I think we can do that without T.O.
Then how come last year ( meaning 2007 ) we blamed losing on playing without T.O. when he got hurt? Now I'm not saying I am T.O. biggest fan or anything but we sure flip flop alot around here. I know there was Drama with T.O but he was and is still considered a top WR and he played hard for Dallas.
He also helped Romo's Stats rise too , notice how BOTH of their stats were mediocore this year? Well , like I said, I know T.O was demanding and a problem at times but as much as I love Romo I believe his injuries are and have been making him a little gun shy...quick releases..to many hand offs etc etc.
I wish Owen all the best and Thank him for his time in Dallas , I'm sure he will do well where ever he goes.

I can say this because...before we got T.O. we were 9-7 and we did that with Deadslow at QB and Meshaun at WR... I think also we are better on Defense than we were.

One thing you guys can count on from me... You don't have to worry about me making woe is me TO thread after TO thread. Sure. I have my opinions on the move and I think it was a very bad one but at some point in time we have to move on.

I'm excited about the draft and am hopeful we aren't done with the WR moves. Hopefully we're looking to bring someone in. I like our young stable of WRs (Austin, Crayton, Hurd, Stanback) but think we would serve ourselves well to bring in a proven stat maker at the WR position. A true #2...

There's a difference between losing a player midseason and preparing all offseason without him.

This might be the dumbest post of the week.

This Dallas team has EONS more talent than Owens last team in SF had. It isnt even REMOTELY close.

I don't think the '9ers recent demise has anything to do with T.O. not being there. They have the same problem Dallas has, ******** management! The Eagles have been OK without him, wouldn't you say?
