How "LOUD" was it? I'm guessing not too loud, considering it was a preseason game, but would love to hear what the people thought, that were actually there.

Look, our stadium is not 80,000 "dog pound" members.

Our teams--whether the Cowboys, the Mavs or the Rangers--are never the loudest, rowdiest, craziest fans.

I wish we would get over it already, because after 20 years of hearing the complaint, I'm pretty much at the point that I want to stab the next person who wrings their hands about it.

Steve, the crowd in general wasn't loud like we would like when the opposing teams offense is on the field, but, I think a lot of that had to do with people checking out the new stadium, video board, and just watching the game. When the Cowboys scored, or made a nice play, it was VERY loud, so the potential is there. Also, the accoustics of the new stadium seem to allow sound already made to reverberate.

I wouldn't worry too much yet. I think once people are used to the new stadium, and and things settle down some, I think it will be a very loud stadium. I don't think the Giants will like playing here on opening day.

I'm one of the complainers, but will say I have been at games where the stadium did rock and was a great atmospehere too (games like Philly in 92, SF 93). Unfortunately there are too many of the "library-esque" games too, like Arizona in 06, Wash in 94, Philly in 96.

Dave Campo said it was louder on the field in this preseason game than it was on the field at Texas Stadium during regular season games. That may have to do with the roof being closed.

It sounded loud to me when the crowd was really going.

I thought it sounded loud on TV too, but people there didnt seem to think it was. Maybe it had something to do with where the mics were.

I also thought it sounded loudest when we were on offense, particularly in the redzone.

Ha. So true. Our fans are ... unique. I even had to explain to my wife not to cheer at that point, despite her knowing not to having been to tons of football games. Her reply was, "Everyone else is cheering!"

It will be louder when Jerry starts piping in crowd noise over the PA system.

Most would think you are joking but considering it is Jerry Jones are you serious about this?

Good post, that is what I pretty much thought also. When it gets regular season, I think it will be very loud.

LOL, wow, it's not that serious is it? :laugh2:

Anyways, I was just curious if it was louder than the average day at Texas Stadium. Thanks to the ones that ACTUALLY WENT to the game, that responded.

When the roof is closed, it will be louder than Texas Stadium ever was. Will it be a home field advantage? We'll see.

The music and especially some of the godzillavision commercials were VERY loud. The crowd was loud at times, but it was preseason.

They did the wave. It was fail.
