I tried sopcast a couple of times and couldn't stand it. I can't watch a game in fits and starts as it rebuffers. Just not worth the time. I'd sooner listen to a radio (or an internet feed of a radio station) and watch the CBS Sportsline Gamecenter.

Its free, I dont know why you would complain about it. My DirectTV was acting up at the start of last weeks game, and Sopcast was the friggin life saver for me.

I'd be happy to build you a free car, but it would work about as well as sopcast has in my experience.

I'm amazed that the NFL or DirecTV hasn't gone after sopcast and channelsurfing with all of their weight

It's really hurting the NFL in their fight with a few cable companies and it devalues the Sunday Ticket for DirecTV.

It is surprising, but the quality is not the greatest. You can see whats going on, but its nothing like actually watching the game on television.

Its not just the NFL thats sleeping on it, as the Chinese illegally stream almost every top level soccer match thats played.

I'm amazed the NFL hasn't embraced streaming pay-per-view. It would make millions. I'd be happy to pay $5 for a game so I don't have to go to a sports bar (where I'd end up spending $20) to watch.

The thing about streaming is anyone with a 15$ tv card, windows media encoder (free), and bad DSL connection can stream the game to around 3 people.

Your connection must not be that great. I only have 6mb d/l speed and it works just fine. Either way, I have NFL Network. I'm just trying to help those that don't.

They make much more with the exclusive DirecTV Sunday Ticket deal. DirecTV loses money on the package but makes money on the subscriptions from people who only have it to get the Sunday Ticket.


Plus I think the NFL wants to stay away from the PPV stigma.
