Not sure if being sarcastic or not, but Alfred Morris really is one of the best pure runners today.
Agreed.

there are more then a two dozen Alred Morris's in the league today. .
Care to name them?
I'm not going to provide a long list of jags. I gave an opinion.
All in favor of nicknaming Demarco Murray "darkness" [have to say it like Dave Chappelle rick james skit
Say Ay!
All jokes aside, great running
He does seem to sort of give up on some runs when he breaks free.
What's the difference between a forced missed tackle and a regular missed tackle?
But he sucks and runs out of bounds
So Alfred Morris is a JAG?
ok.....
Yeah I find it funny that people think this is a positive stat. There are two factor at play:
1. A sufficient sample size, meaning that the backs get a good number of carries.
2. The would be tacklers must have a chance to ATTEMPT to tackle.
Point number 2 is my indictment of Murray. He gives plenty of opportunities for defenders to tackle him, where other backs would seek a clear path and not allow the tackle attempt.
Unless you've tracked all of Demarco's carries and that of every other back on the list...you're really just making things up.
I really am frustrated with T.Davis. We NEVER heard about Murray running to darkness and people were generally excited to have him in the lineup and healthy.
Suddenly he is leaving all these yards on the table and is an average running back. Now every run of his that isn't picture perfect is proof positive he is a bum. Every positive run he gets an 'atta boy' way to not be a bum.
People are ridiculous.
I'm not making anything up. I think a more telling stat would be missed tackles per rush attempt. I am simply poking holes at the notion that this chart is a "positive" statistic highlighting that Murray doesn't run to darkness.
I have no agendas here. I go by what this player does on the field. I have seen many instances where he finds the rear end of his blockers instead of taking another nearby lane where he could get some more yards.

Of course he leads in this stat. He seeks out defenders while others avoid them.
