Was the fact that we could've paid similar money and gotten Peyton manning a few years back PLUS probably swung a few good draft picks by trading romo. peyton has 92 TDs as a bronco, several playoff wins , a SB appearance, and a league MVP award. Our entire franchise would look different now...and wildly relevant.

You are working under the assumption that he would have wanted to come here.

You really think he would have done nearly as well with us? Really?

Didn't our o line that year include Phil Costa, Bill Nagy, and Nate Livings? A guy coming off of neck surgery probably couldn't have been paid enough to come here.

Wouldn't "guag, post: 5666788, member: 302"]You really think he would have done nearly as well with us? Really?[/quote]

Wouldnt have had to. Easy to say he adds at least one or two regular season wins for us which would've gotten us in the playoffs. Now, he'd have a solid OL and stable of weapons. He also would not let the OC or Garrett mismanage a game or the play calling.

Every time I see this thread it amuses me. Peyton was NEVER going to join a team in the same division as his brother. Not even taking into consideration Jerry, Garrett, and other personnel factors.

No one knew Peyton would come back from an injury. We had Romo, and Peyton said he didn't want to play against his brother regularly.

Denver was ready to contend so that is why he picked them. Plus he doesn't want to play in Eli's division

Peyton is a smart man. Why would he want to play for Jerry? Not every player wants to be THIS version of the cowboys.
Those days are long gone.

Peyton isn't dumb enough to take the captains job on a ship that has already sunk.

The Broncos won a playoff game with Tim Tebow at QB. The Cowboys franchise is going nowhere fast.
