You laugh, but sit through the Oscar nominees then the Razzies and tell me which set of movies is better.

I've found that if "critics" love a movie, I hate it. When they pan one unmercilessly, I usually feel that it's time well spent even if it's just laughing at how bad it is.

Last year's "critic's darling" Sideways has to go down as one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. Bad but not bad enough to laugh at its suckiness. Actually walked out of the theater during the movie then tried to re-watch it on HBO thinking that maybe I was just in a bad mood that day or didn't get it. My mood was fine the first time and I did get it. It just stunk.

I didn't get Sideways either. I didn't think it was a bad movie, but I just didn't get all the hype. There are always 1 or 2 Oscar movies like that every year. Looks like the Razzie nominated movies may be that way as well.

He and Matt Damon are now working on a remake of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Robert Redford is not happy about it...
