Yeah that's your opinion. I say it's wrong. History says it's wrong. We didn't have a rookie QB in 2014. So take that complete nonsense somewhere else.
Just because a rookie QB has never taken a team to the Super Bowl doesn't it will never happen. You don't win 13 games in the NFL using smoke and mirrors. This is a very good team. And as much as you hate the idea, this is a good team with Prescott at QB.

I'm not saying they are going to the Super Bowl. I'm saying they have a chance. This team has flaws, but they are no bigger than the flaws our future opponents have.

Back to the rookie. Which NFC QB would you rather have? I'll give you Aaron Rodgers. Wilson? Maybe. Eli? Nope. Matt Ryans next playoff win will be his first. Stafford is good, but he's done nothing in the playoffs. Cousins? Don't make me laugh.

I know that if we lose a game, you will pounce on Prescott as the reason why. Whether it's 7-6 or 50-49. Stephen A Smith plays this schick. Hecwill beat his cheat and talk about how he is always right after the Cowboys lose. Thats his act. He like a bad Broadway actor.

We are 13-2 with a rookie. I'll take my chances with him.

So in preseason when Dak was tearing it up the naysayers said just wait till the regular season starts with the game planning and he'll be exposed. Then in the regular season during a 11 game win streak the naysayers said we haven't played anyone good and once he plays quality teams he'll be exposed. Then in late November and through December when Dak beat playoff teams and secured home field advantage the naysayers are saying if he doesn't win a super bowl then he'll be exposed. I'm just wondering what the naysayers will say after he wins the super bowl this year? Maybe they'll say he'll be exposed if he can't go undefeated for a compete season and win the super bowl.

Dak has defied any logic, history or reason in this dominant run during the regular season. I, myself tried to ignore what my eyes were telling me and go with what history and logic would say. Everytime Dak has overcame the doubters, myself included. I can't doubt this kid anymore, he defies all that we have grown to know.

And he wasn't even supposed to start this year. I'm putting my chips on the table with Dak, win or lose the super bowl he has exceeded all expectations. I'm willing to go down swinging with Dak. If we don't win this year, and I believe we will, but if we don't we are set for a good 5-7 year run with this man at the helm. So exciting.

Future is bright but it can turn on you quick in the NFL.

That's why when the opportunity presents itself you have to take advantage of it.

We need to get the title NOW.
I agree, even though the future is bright, you only get a couple chances a career to win a super bowl. We got to make the most of this chance. I believe we will. I feel this team is special.

Now that I have your attention:

This year has been house money. Do we want the Super Bowl? Yes. Does this team have as good or better a chance at it as any since '95? Yes. Did anyone predict this even before Romo was hurt? Not really. The defense was considered as bad or worse as the previous two years, and major injuries had to be assumed. Romo was a hit away from IR and we had *no one* behind him still. Fast forward and the offense is being led by a pair of rookies in the backfield and the defense has improved where it counts, even turning it on here at the end of the season. The team has avoided the injury plague ala 2007 (other than Romo, which is so far appearing to be a blessing in disguise), as even General Lee has remained steadfast and amazing the entire season. I will leave (it almost) unmentioned all the hate the coaching staff received after last years debacle, but this year has been a complete reversal.

I say all of that to say this: Regardless of the outcome of this year, the sky hasn't been more blue since '92! The team is young, the cap hits are friendly, and Jerry has been relegated mostly to comments to errant mics. Even if we don't win the Lombardi this year, many are coming to this core!

No rookie has done it.

Why not Dak?
Why not for us?
Why not now?

There is a role to looking forward, and that assists a fan in weighing the strength of change and effectiveness involved. But that is change as well...

A fan really misses the depth of enjoyment in the sport, if he doesn't fully enjoy the joy of the challenge in the now. That is sport. It all doesn't have to be the very best, to be very good reward for the fan. But a rounded preparation before and during change, is a soundness in judgement.

Nothing short of a Super Bowl is a wasted season. One great season doesn't guarantee one the following season.
How many Panthers and Broncos fans felt they were going to have a great season this year?
True one good year doesnt mean it will just keep happening, plus you win a SB, and players and coaches tend to leave.
But we should be in the playoffs for next year anyway, and once in who knows.

This year is a bust if we do not make it to the NFC title game. We have HFA....so weather is not a factor. We have beaten some really good teams this year....so we are battle tested. We have the best running game in the NFL. We have a guy in Dez that we can "throw it up to" when he is covered. Dak can pass and run. Garrett has more tenure than most of the coaches in the NFL. No one in the NFC is "that" scary....especially with the injuries in Seattle. Our young leaders (Dak and Zeke) do not like they are just "happy" to be here. THIS season should be the only focus. The 90s Cowboys emerged because they had focused, goal oriented winners that hated to lose(Aikman, Irvin, Emmit)...and as a result all 3 are in the HOF. Go back and read what Emmits goals were prior to his rookie season. He thought BIG. So how these young players handle this postseason will tell us a lot about make up. I personally think our young leaders have shown that the stage is not to big for them. Which is why I was ok with sticking with Dak. So I expect BIG things this postseason.

We've waited 21 years. We are 13-2 heading into week 17. Why not us and why not now?

Come on. The likes of the Rams, Bucs, Cardinals, Panthers, and Saints have been to Super Bowls while we have had to watch. **** those teams and **** their fans! This is our turn!

Do you think it fair to mislead with the header?
The spectre of ethics arises.

We're much stronger this year than in 2014...

The statement was accurate.

Dak simple executes this offense more efficiently than with Romo, not to mention better health on D and a better o-line and RB, than in 2014..

The 2007 and 2014 teams don't compare...

Too me, this team is as good as any team in the NFL and has a good chance of going all the way. I am certain it gets to the Conference Championship game. The Cowboys seem set, with a young club, for a good playoff run for the next three years.

Dallas with a veteran QB and a better D had the same win record (and the 2016 team has one left to play) and the Pats were undefeated that year in the AFC with Moss and a prime Brady. Your nonsense is often funny but sometimes tiring.
That was 2007 for Moss and Brady, but your point stands.

Devoid of comparisons with Cowboys teams or any other teams of the past, this team has a wonderful opportunity to become an elite competitor for years to come. Of course, much depends upon acquiring a potent pass rush and better defensive talent. We're highly capable of putting a scare into the most competent challengers for SB glory this year and next season looks hopeful of being even greater. Of course, each season brings its own challenges to bear but the future definitely looks brighter than most years from this fan's perspective.

Amen. Never can predict what will happen in one game showdowns. The present club has as good a chance as any club. The Cowboys need to stiffen the Defense in the off season, that goes without saying...but, they are still solid enough to win this year. The offense is dynamite and surprisingly the Defense has played very well. The team also has that most important element heading into the playoffs...Momentum. That can make the difference between one and out and going all the way.
