Former RB Coach, Anthony Lynn, with incredible story about Jerry Jones the person

I don't think anyone has doubted that Jerry cares about the players, coaches and other personnel for the Dallas Cowboys. If anything, we have shown concern that maybe he gets too close to them. But whether Jerry loves his players and coaches or not does not change how we view him as a GM of the Dallas Cowboys.

I think the culture ON the field , in practice, the way we train, and the way the players conduct themselves is the culture being changed. No one has ever doubted that Jerry cares about his players and staff. Those are two separate things.

The culture on the field, in practice and in the lockerroom is definitively changing this year so far. Gotta give Jerry credit for that so far.

LOL.

In what way? They havent even practiced in pads yet.

Man you guys make me laugh.

And you go as far as to say DEFINITIVELY.

I guess ping pong and greek dancing is all this team needed for 30 years.

Who knew.

Sorry to break it to you AC.

As long as Jerry and his dumb "drought" son are in charge. The culture stays the same.

Just because you hold someone’s hand in the hospital at 2 a.m. doesn’t mean you know how to build a championship football team. He’s had 30 years to prove himself without Jimmy and hasn’t even come close. As Jerry himself says, he bought himself an occupation – that doesn’t mean he’s any good at it.

Narcissists aren’t evil people. Not on the surface anyway. In fact, they will go to great lengths to charm you and are quite good at it. Some of you know exactly what I mean and some have been lucky enough to never encounter that type of behavior up close, because it can get ugly.

I don’t care what Jerry does. All I know is he stinks at running an NFL team and should no longer be attempting to do so at 83 years old with three decades of failure behind him, but he just told y’all there’s no one better.

I’d say that validates my diagnosis.

I think most people don’t have issues with Jerry Jones the person; their issues are with how he manages his football team and the culture he has instilled as the de facto GM.
I for one, like you, like him as a person and even as an owner as he has done a lot to improve the NFL.

So culture change can not be started unless the players are in full pads? Ridiculous.

Culture change has already been started and practiced.

It's already being practiced. That's how it begins. Have you guys ever played football?
In other words, no, it hasn’t changed on the field yet lol…All you did was mention practice twice.

“The culture being practiced, in practice, and in the locker room has changed.”

Seems like under-manned training staff and coaching staff, if rumors are true...along with not wanting to pay HC's top dollar....is contrary to this.

Personally, there seems to be a whole in the story...

'Hanging at the rim' has to ne something employees talk about as negative to the club winning. Understaffed. Not wanting to pay coaches....but every one loves him.

1 + 1 doesn't equal 2 here

He's not as terrible of a human being as people make him out to be. You could see that when the lady who worked with him for several decades passed..Jerral got choked up talking about it.

I think I'm one of the few around here who actually like him.
Liking him as a person? Okay....even though we don't know him personally. Still, ok.
Liking him based on the results of team success? Hard to do.
