Joe was actually pretty fair, he didn't count the one that was too short as a drop, and said the other 2 passes were high, but ones a WR the caliber of TO should catch, which I agree w/
also want to add that today, Joe was generally very complimentary towards the Cowboys, esp. Romo
The first one, when viewed from the camera angle behind Romo, looks like he never even touched the ball. That can't be a drop.
That actually seems like a pass that Romo is struggling with. The same type of pass was picked off in the Colts game, fell incomplete to Glenn in this game, and then the one to Owens that I am referring to was too short.
The ball that went high was also a bad pass. It is a pass that can be caught, and has been caught in the past, but it was extremely high and Owens had to go way up and sort of twist his body a bit to try to get it.
Like I said, it is a pass that would have taken a great catch to get it, but I don't consider it a "drop".
The one in the EZ is a flat out drop, and I personally don't think he was hurt, ... he had just dropped a TD so he had to act hurt to explain the drop, ... I have seen it a million times throughout my coaching years.
So to say he had 3 drops is not a "football knowledgable" opinion.
