My father-in-law (who's happens to be a life long giants fan) and I were talking the other day on the disappointment of Romo missing those 8 weeks. Believe it or not, he was disappointed too by I digress. I likened the situation to the pre-Romo days where I was getting flashbacks of the helpless frustration feeling of being an NFL fan of a team w/o a franchise QB.
Being Eli and Romo are close in age, our conversation meandered to how unless something is done over the next couple years, we'll both soon find ourselves in that franchise-less QB situation. Then we went to recite the fortunate situations for NFL teams who had a smooth landing from 1 franchise QB directly to another.
- 49rs, Montana to Young
- Packers, Favre to Rogers
- Colts, Manning to Luck
Any others that come to mind?
