While I don't think the scheme he played in did him any favors. I think too often he was being asked to play a 3-4 DE role, occupying blockers.

I see a guy who would be much better as a Marinelli 'rushmen' than he was in college.

The one that I can't see is Armstead. If there's a clear example of measurable vs lack of production, it's him.

I can easily see him not going in the first round.

It's the exploding hips that scare me more. He had so so production, not like an Arik Armstead who had none.

Armstead may be the most perplexing prospect I've ever seen. Every resource I've seen loves him. I realize he's got great measurables but that isn't enough for me to invest a 1st round pick.

I could never spend a first rounder on a guy who literally makes no plays. I don't even know what would be his best position - is he a SDE? A 5T? To hear people get worked up over the guy is interesting, as in watching Oregon games, he didn't stand out at all.

The situation reminds me of Brockers. He actually turned out to be pretty good, not saying Armstead will though. Just similar hype

IMO he is a 34 5 tech and that's about it. I don't expect much of anything out of him, splash-play wise. Armstead actually reminds me a lot of Tyson Jackson, 3rd overall pick by KC out of LSU. Good athleticism for his size but will play a position where he mainly clogs lanes in the run game and simply isn't a very accomplished or instinctive football player.

If I'm a GM I am staying miles away from this guy.

I liked Brockers way, way more that Armstead.
