Frederick back sooner than we think?

In my head, I'd originally estimated him back on the active roster after week 4, with the idea that he might not be starting, but that he'd be a better backup option than we'd otherwise have by then.

Since then, though, most of the information seemed to suggest he would be out a lot longer, so I'm not sure what to think now. If the treatments did help, and he'd been practicing without them already, unless there's a downside to having a high level of physical activity, or unless the treatment itself makes intense physical exertion impossible, I don't see why he couldn't be on the team as a potential backup.

No one knows their body more than you. Travis will let them know if he feels alright and is ready. It's a very similar situation to waiting for Jaylons nerve to reginerate, no timetable.

Going to cause roster issues if his status doesn't clarify soon. Somebody we would have otherwise kept will get cut.

I'm sure he will have to show the trainers and doctors that his cardio and strength is well enough to return.

I would consider it hitting the lottery if he was put on IR and came back in 8 weeks. At some point the Cowboys luck has to turn around.

True but doctors input I think has to be the final say. Guys will push themselves when maybe they shouldn't. If doctors give him a clean bill of health great but if they have any reasons to suspect a setback then he needs to sit.

I tend to agree with this, but I'd probably go the PUP route. That gets you through 6 weeks and, if he's not healed by then, he's probably in a lot more trouble than we might think.

I think unless you're closer to the situation, meaning Frederick or one of his physicians, attempting to "rubber stamp" any specific time frame as being "good for him" is a mistake.

I not sure he couldn't play IF his physicians approve and he feels like he's at full strength. I think it's the case of he's either playing or he isn't.

There is no telling when it may be. He could start game 1 or never play again.

Could you imagine if it was just a misdiagnosis this whole time? I guess it wouldn't be the first time. Wasn't another athlete recently diagnosed with this disease only to find out he didn't actually have it?
Patrick Eaves. Hockey player with the Ducks

Its Travis's decision , solely, he will gather info and decide what is and isn't worth the risk by how hes feeling , this isn't a situation where he has to listen to doctors or trainers in order to get back on field..if he feels strong and ready to go, he will tell the FO and they will for sure let him in..

In my head, he was gone all year.

I'd be hopeful of a spot on PUP for 6 weeks then a return.

They obviously caught this thing early and got on it before he was at the place many others have been.
Guys spent weeks in ICU and such.
But again so long as he is healthy man I am thankful for that and whenever he returns, he returns.

So much for linemen is mental, leverage, and footwork...

Agreed - but if he isn't ready after 6 weeks then you can just put him on IR. I'm just kind of spitballing but I assume that if it isn't healed in 2 months, it's not going to be in 4. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm not a dr. lol

He will be back between week 4 and 6 is my guess. Assuming they stopped the progression of GBS early enough, it will be a quick recovery. Quote me if I'm wrong later on.
