Like I posted, when I heard him say that he loves to get on the field because he can do things on the field that he cannot do in public, I knew the Cowboys got them a "dog"!

;)

Yep. I've loved the player and the potential of landing him since he declared. It's a huge upgrade over anything we've fielded at C since Gurode's prime and IMO he can be better than that.

I like the guy alot just think we reached a bit. If this guy turns out to be how Tyron was in his first year, no one will care where he was drafted

Yeah, IMO he has the potential to be better than Gurode was in his prime. He's just such a quick thinker and is so big and strong.

Definitely will help all 3 interior line positions.

This could be a really good thing or a really bad thing.

Good in that we need that nastiness.

Bad in that we can ill afford DL injuries this year. He and Rat will definitely have some battles.

Well you hit on why he can be better. He's nasty. He's got the demeanor to be better. As good as Gurode was, he never had that killer instinct. Frederick does. He'll bring back some of what we lost when Colombo left.

Erik Williams is still my favorite offensive lineman and it has very much to do with the attitude he played with.

What, no love for Larry Allen?

I think he meant for the draft. Don't hate. Risen probably did more research on oline than any of us

I don't know about that but I certainly did like Frederick a lot. I would like that guy if he came from Boise St. Coming out of Wisconsin makes it a love affair. That's an OL factory.

If Risen says he liked the guy from the get-go, then I'm inclined to believe him.

Yeah, IMO the difference between a very good OL and a hall of fame type OL is the demeanor they play with. If you get a talented, smart guy and give him an attitude you've really hit on something.

Erik Williams is still one of my favs. Watching Reggie White whine and cry about Williams dominating is one of my best cowboys memories from the 90's. I can still see White begging the refs to help him out while Williams just grinned and walked away.

That's one of my fondest memories too. Reggie White lost his mind a couple of times thanks to Big E.

I was pretty critical when we traded out of Floyd at 18, but after thinking over the weekend - Frederick will be the player I follow more closely from this draft. My hope is like a lot of people, he will plug up the middle. Stand up the N.T. and generally make all the line calls and become Tony's big buddy. Love that he is an Electrical Engineer, Graduated early and is smart as a whip. Big as an ox, and mean.
Would still have loved to pick up Floyd to play the one tech. but cannot complain about how it all ended up. I think this is actualy one of our better drafts in a long while, sneaky good. And Frederick will become my "pet cat" on the team this year.
