Can someone please tell me what good young offensive lineman are avialable in free agency next year? Is it slim pickings again or are there a few prospects out there? It appears dallas needs a new LT, RG, and possibly RT. Kosier and Gurode have been pretty decent. Hopefully Colombo gets better, but it is all downhill from here with Rivera and Adams. They are no longer worth their high salaries and their play is mediocre at best.

I posted a list of all 2007 free agents somewhere. Should be able to find it in a search.

I looked up Junks list and it looks to be a weak OL class for free agents .
Steinbach at guard and Koppen at center are about it ...
A couple of aging tackles like Rueben Brown but thats about it....

Looks like future help will have to come from with in or the draft.

I think Koppen signed a new deal with NE.

Thanks for the link. I tried to google my search and couldn't find anything.

People are going to disagree with me, but I would like to see Dallas pay Max Starks and Steinbach enough money to get them to switch teams. Our first pick should then be used to find a suitable tackle. After giving Romo the rest of the reps and seeing him grow next years Oline could look like this:

LT Blaylock (hopefully) , LG Kosier, C Gurode , RG Steinbach, and RT Max Starks

Rivera and Adams would have to hit the old dusty trail.

we are still paying the price for the rogers/peterman disaster of a few years back. BP/JJ are now gun shy about spending any first day picks on O-Lineman.

Love Starks. He was the next OT off the board after Mr. Rodgers.

But he isn't worth a draft pick next year -- RFAs are for the Commanders

I thought he was unrestricted. Oh well, the boys can just sign Leonard Davis instead. He's nothing special, but he doesn't such either.

I don't think the FO is scared to go after offensive linemen on day 1. From most accounts, they would have taken Colledge in 2 had he been available.

Steinbach probably fits the mold of what Dallas wants, but I consider him an unlikely signing. I'd expect him to play guard in Dallas, so it would probably require Rivera to be cut. You are starting to talk some pretty big money once you figure in Rivera's accelerated bonus and Steinbach's signing bonus. In addition, I have heard Cincy is working pretty hard to get a new deal for Steinbach.

I think those people saying Manuwai and Leonard Davis are barking up the wrong tree completely. If Parcells leaves and a new OL coach is brought in, they might become a consideration.

You have to pay serious money for any good O linemen anymore. Not as much as Hutchinson got- which was ridiculous, and after LA I seriously doubt we ever pay really big bucks for a guard again. Steinbach would be a good one, but I see Cinci ponying up and we do not want to get into a bidding war.

I see easily see Flozell not being here next year. And Rivera may retire.

I'm hoping McQ gets some playing time this year to see if he has anything. That will be a huge factor in who we pursue as a FA.

We need to get Proctor in for some serious playing time as well. We need to find out about him. McQ certainly seems to have promise- but he needs to play some so that we can better evaluate him. Columbo is very inexperienced- so I cannot really be down on him getting schooled by a HOF DE. What I am thinking is that with just a little luck we are OK on the O line. Rivera clearly is done. The Hotel- I think he should not be playing- he should have been kept back to rehab. If the guy is limping just walking, how in the world do you expect him to be able to play at a high level?
