Move Bruce Carter inside.

Sean Lee is not dependable and Carter has been at his best playing inside. Plus I think Lee would have less wear and tear outside if he ever gets back out there.

That's what Stretch Smith was advocating anyway because of the wear and tear issue...

But I wouldn't be surprised if this happens. There's a great chance Hitchens isn't ready... For that matter we don't even know if he can play.

Imagine if we'd drafted Shazier like we wanted to. Then I'm sure this would have happened.

I've been advocating that as well since we moved back to a 4-3. Guess our staff sees things differently.

It's be worth a try, imo.
I guess if Hitchens is shockingly good--very, very rare for a surprise 4th round LB--then maybe run with the rookie.

Not so much different from a 6th round MLB who started his rookie season for the Cowboys...

"Eugene Lockhart was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 6th round of the 1984 NFL Draft. He became the first rookie in Cowboys history to start at middle linebacker, when Bob Breunig went down with a back injury during the first half of the season.[1] After Breuning retired at the end of the year, he became just the fourth player in Cowboys history to have held that position on a regular basis. After leading the team with 86 tackles (49 solo), he was named to the 1984 NFL All-Rookie team."

it would be nice if one of our young linebackers can step up and take lee spot without having to see some over the hill veteran have to start.

Good trivia.
I see Breuning at least once a week, so I'll let him know his name popped up. Humble guy.

I know it can happen so that's why I said very, very rare vs never. But really, 30 years ago is not too bad.

Love the reminder to not be too gloom.

Anyone think Urlacher could be a bridge for Hutch or Holloman if coaxed off the couch?

I doubt they will.

I'm betting they stick with what they have. Hitchens will be the starter and now Durant probably stays on the roster.

With preliminary results indicating a torn acl for Lee can someone start a list? I know angerer will top the list for many but he is injury prone as well.

Forget that: Jerry needs to get aggressive and trade next years 1+3 for Ryan Shazier and end this travesty NOW!

Yeah... That's a big-time problem.

It would be nice to get some good news once in a while.

The good news is we can move on from the Sean Lee Experiment.

About as good as the Robby Carpenter one.

I think they can move some pieces around and make it work.

As soon as they drafted this guy with injury in college I thought it was a waste of a pick.

Same with DeMarco Murray.

At least Murray played enough to get a Pro Bowl invite.

We will see if he's able to stay on the field, too.

Well at this juncture of where the team goes from here, as far as Lee situation, is about a year from having to be made.

Hitchens and lemon.

Yeah or Hitchens and Holloman.

But regardless I don't think the problem are the running downs, it's the passing downs and which LBers stay on the field. I would think that Carter is one of them.
