I hate to point out the obvious, but Zach Martin built his All Pro rep out of playing alongside Doug Free.

As soon as Parnell came on, he looked worse.

Martin injured his ankle in either Parnell's 1st or 2nd start.

We ran behind the right tackle the second most times in the league, at the second-highest rate in the league (percentage of all runs), and had the fourth-highest YPC and third-highest ALY when running behind the right tackle.

Martin was a much bigger factor in the success of the run game then any improvement from Free.

I just think Free is very average and replaceable.

Not that this means anything per se, but in the two Giants games, they ran right 18 times when Parnell was the starter and 6 times when Free was the starter.

Doug Free heart of the OL ?

Your heart warmed the bench for nearly half the season with a foot injury.
Maybe he gave some advice how to best lend Romo a hand to help him up when he got sacked. Otherwise i dont see alot of value in him.

Sure he is not a bad RT but we can easily replace him with a 2nd to 3rd round draft pick.
