The NFL can be a business and you can still feel betrayed by your teammates actively recruiting your replacement.

I am sure his feelings will be hurt. I don't care.

He will still get a paycheck somewhere. If not in Dallas, somewhere else.

Collins is getting dirt wages right now and if Leary is upset that he cannot hold him off, that is his problem.

"Every time I call it a game, you call it a business. And every time I call it a business, you call it a game."------Nick Nolte from North Dallas Forty.

Nothing personal, but the OL is only as strong as its weakest link.

The Collins signing all but guarantees Leary's in his last year in Dallas; unless Collins is considered the RT of the future.

Callahan left here to be a O-line coach where?

I really wish he would've just swallowed his pride and stayed here.

What an idiot. He could've potentially been coaching one of the best OL's the NFL has seen.

Free has ben told to take paycuts and everyone is constantly on the lookout for his replacement here. I think he has to have some thick skin or he would have already folded up shop by now.

With Leary being so young, I can understand if he was salty because of this. At the same time, it's professional football. It's meant to be competitive. And Collins is making peanuts from an NFL standpoint, so it's not as if his contract forces him into the starting lineup. If you're Leary, you go out there and try to win the battle and keep the starting job.

Exactly.

And it's not like Collins and his salary is competing with Free or Leary's livelihoods.

No.

So they need to take their money which is considerably more than Collins will make and get on with playing their best.

I am sick and tired of players taking Jerrah's money and then pouting like our former backup QB.

We don't need them.

And thank goodness we are finally reaching a talent level on this team where we don't have to tolerate it.

Not me. If he did not want to be in Dallas, leave. I am sure the whole 2013 fiasco was a problem.

Good luck to you with the Commander line and may you cry a thousand tears, Bill.

Just heard that on Ben and Skin.

Makes more sense now. I can't imagine them going to Jerrys house to try and talk this guy into playing in Dallas.

Also, just saying, I would feel a little betrayed by my teammates if I were Free and Leary.

Free has 6 million (guaranteed) reasons to not be upset. Pretty sure Free knew that he's on a year to year basis.

Need the video of the Empress Livia telling the gladiators what she expects from them.

Fact alert.

Leary will make about 100k more than Collins - and his deal is not guaranteed for the next three years.

Leary is making 500,000 not a big payday but 2nd they are not the enemy they are part of the team and should provide very good depth for this OL. More times than not most older player go out there and help younger players.

Thanks for the update.

Haven't had enough time to read all the articles yet on the subject.

But my premise stands.

Play ball and let's see what happens.

The best that happens is Leary raises his game and keeps his job and he can leave next year with a better deal from somebody like Murray did.

Worst scenario is Collins replaces him and we improve.

Not a lot of bad choices there.

When I heard Ben and Skin they were just guessing on that issue.

It would make sense to invite only the All Pros.
