I wonder if we win this game if Dez practiced and played this week...

no we don't. season done. don't risk them

I was thinking the same thing, but was afraid to bring it up because I am sure there will be some piling on.
Honestly, I doubt Dez is ready next week. I think we will be 2-5, and then 2-6. Is 2-6 enough to say to Romo and Dez....get healthy but you arent getting on the field til next training camp.

I know there arent any guarantees, but I would much rather end the season 3-13 while seeing what we have in young players, rather than being 7-9. 7-9 or 8-8, with the exception of very few times in NFL history, is no man's land in the NFL...no playoffs and not a super high draft pick.

Let's hope Eagles lose tonight against the 5-0 Panthers.

Our next 3 without Romo are against Seahawks, Eagles and Bucs. The only one there is no excuse to lose is against the Bucs, but even then the Bucs are probably better than they've been in the past.

Giants next 3 weeks are against a Saints team that's 3-1 in their last 4, against the Bucs, and against the Patriots.

Eagles next 3 weeks (after tonight) are a BYE, against us, and against the Dolphins.

Commanders next 3 weeks are a BYE, against the Patriots, and against the Saints.

Giants are 4-3, Eagles are 3-3, Redkins are 3-4 and we're 2-4.

I'm not worried about the Commanders at all. They're probably gonna lose their next 2 and they have to face us twice with Romo and Dez. The Commanders are an afterthought.

It comes down to the Giants and Eagles being our biggest threats. Much like today, we have the opportunity to take a 2-0 head-to-head lead against the Eagles in 2 weeks. But much like today, we'll likely lose. There's really no gauging the Eagles. They can lose their next 3 (Panthers, us, Dolphins) or win all 3. Let's hope they at least drop 1. It would be great to beat them in 2 weeks.

Giants are still due for a BYE after Romo returns so it gives us a chance to get within a half game. And they play the Patriots so let's hope it's an automatic loss like it is for most teams. Unfortunately, the only team in the past 15 years to have the Patriots' number is the Giants.

All in all, I don't see Giants or Eagles having more than 6 wins when Romo returns. Hopefully they don't have more than 5. We really need to win at least 1 in the next 3. Going 0-7 without Romo will be very hard to overcome. I'd love a win against Philly. I'd be happy with one against the Bucs.

Way too early to quit. Just goes to show you how much Romo and Dez mean to this offense.

In the long run, I hope this is a giant wakeup call to the FO that we may have to spend a premium pick on developing a guy vs. hoping we catch another Romo off the street as a FA.

I know it wont B popular but I agree a top 5 pick in each round sounds good at this point we need a CB SS DT1 tech WR QB ( future) RB TE ( future)

It's a shame that 88 and 9 are hurt.

Otherwise, no other team can hang.

I'm hoping this is one of those things that makes us stronger rather than kills us... Or rather, buries us before we have a chance.

Yes it is. Winning 2 of the next 3 is very doable. Just have to do it.

This is the most wasted season ever in sports. The Super Bowl was practically ours heading into the season (ok maybe not, but it was in my mind). It's just so sad. The worst part is that we should've won every game we've lost besides the Patriots game. With Tony and Dez we're 5-1 easily.
