 This sucks. Was hoping he would come here.
Now with their age and talent, that Dallas offensive line is going to be studly for a long time.

Need a new Gentleman's bet. Any takers?

 Thank God....
…they still have Tony Romo

 Hate on Romo all you want.
But when healthy, he is good.

 I know.....

 Heh
I know. I can’t shake the feeling that someone is whispering smart things into Jurrah’s ear. He has made some phenomenal choices this season. Heck even last season too.

 I think people stopped listening to Jerry's whispers
sounds like his son is a much better GM

 Which does not bode well for us.

Some well thought out replies as well:

They're actually in a real good situation going forward and will be out of cap Hell after this year.

Restructure romoSUCKS again and Hardy's covered. the problem would of been AP. But they seem happy to roll with McFadden and the kid who's just had all his charges dropped who's name escapes me.

Hate to admit it but Dallas have made some super shrewd moves this off season. And if one team can carry the criticism, it's the Cowboys.

Hail.

Honestly, there is not a lot of risk in the moves the Cowboys have made this offseason. Collins is cheap for 3 years. The upside is through the roof. Gregory is a risk, in that he may not be able to stay out of trouble and he's undersized but he has skills that you don't see from many edge rushers. Still, he's a 2nd round pick so the financial investment is not crippling. If he doesn't work out, the Cowboys can still be in good financial shape. Hardy is one of the top edge rushers in the league. He has the suspension issue over his head but honestly, the NFL has lost the last two legal fights over suspension (Rice and AP) and I don't think they are going to win this one. If they do, the Cowboys have signed Hardy to a performance based contract so it's unlikely that if the suspension holds, Hardy reaches his incentives. On top of that, the contract is structured in such a way that he only gets paid if he plays. If he doesn't play, the cap goes back to the Cowboys. Really very little risk in that contract.

Going forward is where the Cowboys might have issues. Hardy, if successful, will demand a huge contract and the Cowboys will have to figure out a way to pay him or he will sign elsewhere. The other two are locked on rookie contracts.

And now the conspiracy theorists have on their tin foil hats. Just read this on a Deadskins board

This is bull ****. He should have gone in to the supplemental draft so that every team got a shot at him.

This opens the door for players to star picking their teams. Pre-arrange something with a team, then put out some story to keep your self from getting drafted.

"I feel like we lost a child"

"As a LSU fan, he went from being my favorite college player last year to my most hated professional player. How do you sign with Jerry Jones an the cowboys, before even listening to what the hometown team has to offer?

He has been #1 on my wish list for the #13 pick for months now, so I really got my hopes up that he'd sign here after the draft. Checking SR to see if there had been any updates on his situation, had become an hourly ritual. This one is gonna sting for awhile.

It's bizarre, but now I find myself pulling for a Stanford lineman to go on to have a hall of fame career and an LSU lineman to never play a snap in the pros. He could've been the next Willie Roaf, who is revered as a legend to everyone in Louisiana. Instead, after an excellent high school and college career, he made the worst career choice possible and moved to TEXAS. Texas is the worst place on earth. Alright, I'm done." :lmao:

Bleeding green nation had ver 700 comments on the Collins to Dallas article.

This just proves my theory that deep down inside, most Iggles fans secretly can't resist watching and talking about the Cowboys as they yurn too root for a relevant team.

Makes you wonder why the East Coast puts up such high Cowboys TV ratings.

The really funny thing is, on the Saints board there is a thread about Collins wanting to come to the Saints, all through that thread they are talking about how phenomenal he is and how he would be a great addition. In the thread about him signing with the Cowboys, he sucks and will never be a good guard or tackle. :lmao:

humans are so fickle aren't they...too funny. Jerry rolled out the red carpet and shut down the airspace around Dallas...Collins was not to be allowed to escape.

LOL at everyone pointing to Collins saying that the cowboys are taking chances. The guy is as innocent as Byron Jones or Zack Martin. He isn't a risky signing. Gregory? OK. Hardy? Sure. Collins? Nope. He is just the cheapest top 15 draft pick in the history of the NFL.

I gotta tell you... NFC teams are really struggling to come to grips with this.
