Well now that Brock has been traded, and Jerry seems to think that Romo will have trade value. If Romo does not come to Houston, what do you think the Texans will do with the extra 10 million in McNair's pocket.

Re-signing Ryan Griffin will be the consolation prize if we fail to sign Romo and after losing Bouye, Demps and Simon. Nearly all of the top FA's have already signed elsewhere or will shortly. Ya, I'm salty.

It appears after our thunderous move yesterday we are met with the ever resounding cricket noise that lives in RS head...looks like thy are gonna sit on their thumbs waiting for Romo which Jerry has no intention of letting go anytime soon.

    No FA QB.

That is from the front office. Romo is going to be a FA at some point. Houston turned down any trade deal Dallas talked to them about. Seems that this time they are not going to make the mistake they did on Brock. Romo is similar and for "Romo wanters" it's a bad omen.

Brock had a good W/L record in Denver. Romo could not get on the field. Brock was not an injury risk day 1. Romo is an injury prone player and at risk going to the bathroom.

Sum it up, I don't think McNair and Smith are interested like some people think. Brock was a big mistake and we got lucky we could deal him to the Browns. Romo could very well be a bigger mistake with the injury history. If McNair makes the move and it fails and/or Romo is hurt. The owner himself set the team back and he can't be the laughing stock of the NFL. He is too prideful for that. I am really wondering who is going to be the lamb that picks up Romo. Jets, Browns, Denver... and a report indicated 4 teams contacted Dallas about him that are not on the list of teams we knew. No names for the teams where given....wonder who it was.

I hope the Texans front office options are slim and they panini. Otherwise hold Tony until after draft when the following years picks are at their lowest value for this year and trade him then

I really don't know why the teams couldn't come to terms on a conditional pick in 2018 since health is the main worry.

We get a pick no matter what if he is healthy for 10 games. We get a higher pick if he starts 10 games. How hard can that be? It mitigates the risk.

They had to have to this to try and get romo. But if I'm jerry I hold out. They're not going to find somebody better than brock. Unless they go cutler I guess.

unfortunately for Houston only way they can compete with NE (who added really good WR in Cooks) is to add someone like Romo. Dallas has the leverage here. The only thing that can mess up Cowboys is Romo putting pressure on Jerry to move him now. Conditional pick is fine but it needs to be 3rd rounder if Romo is their starting QB in playoffs.

If you were Houston and know that Romo will be a June 1 cut then why would you offer anything substantial when you can pick him up without giving up any picks? Just need to beat Denver for his services.

That's the rub in all of this..........Houston doesn't think we are going to trade him to anybody else, so they can just sit and wait.

We really need a 3rd team to come into the picture to scare Houston into trading...........otherwise, they sit and wait

We dont know the teams romo will want go to, and we dont know what the cowboys are asking for.
If we knew that we could judge it better.
We also dont know if denver or houston have made an offer or not.
All we can do is wait, and it looks like we might have a long wait.

Now I know Romo is a better player but Jay Cutler is a huge upgrade over Osweiler or anything on their roster.

I really don't think Romo has much value, I wonder if the Texans offered anything so far. If they are offering a fourth and we are holding out for better, we are going to be left out in the dark soon enough.

You have to think Dallas is receiving some calls for them to pull a complete 180 with their intentions at the last minute.

Perhaps that was planned out but I doubt it.

To secure his services now while being assured that you don't have to give up anything if it doesn't work out.

All Huston has to do is bring a QB such as cutler or Fitzpatrick or any other ufa for a visit and Jerry will cave
