we have this gem:

Steelers | Rooney fined $25,000
Fri, 27 Oct 2006 17:00:30 -0700

Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, report Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney has been fined $25,000 for criticizing officials after the team's Week 7 loss.

uh, hey Looney...I think you need to remember back about 8 months ago or so before speaking out about officiating

matter of fact, very poor offiating seems to follow suit in any Super Bowl the Steelers play in, and curiously its always in YOUR favor

Well, another example of Goodell's cleaning up Dodge before it can even think about getting out of hand approach.
He'll fine 'venerable' owners (at least their offspring) as well as suspend 'roiding second year linebackers.

We're not going to have to worry about the NFL becoming MLB or the NBA on his watch.

You couldn't be more right, David.

I think there was one super bowl we played against them where they didn't have a single penalty called against them. Not even when one of their guys, Lambert I think, sucker punched one our guys in the kidneys when our guy was walking back to the huddle. The squealers should be the LAST team to complain about officiating with the Whiners right behind them.

I never saw two teams get more breaks from the officials.

They had zero penalties and if my memory isn't completely gone I believe they were the most penalized team that year.

yeah there's a few that stand out...the Lynn Swann joke of a defensive PI penalty in 1978, they later scored a TD on that drive...and in 1995 the Steelers got a number of bad calls/official decisions...one play was when a ball was spotted a good one and a half yds past where it should have been, giving them a first down on a scoring drive (no replay then)...another was a Steeler DB basically catching up and tackling a wide open Kevin Williams 30-40 yds downfield, with no call made

i live in peelers country and it is sickening. They won't say a word on Monday when toothlessberger throws two int's and they lose but are the first to run their lips when Dallas loses.

My response at this point to them is "at least we are not 2-4".

I too, hate them.

Don't understate that PI, it directly caused 14 points, because their kicker slipped on the kickoff and Randy White fumbled the return without being touched because he was playing with a cast.

Last year's SB was officiated fine except for the one penalty on Hasslebeck. One play, get over it.

and the offensive pass interference call.....

and the so-called touchdown.......

and the so-called holding call......

other than that it was fine.

uh...ok...must be a closet Steeler fan, because even the league itself admitted to multiple errors in that game
