Still dont think the secondary matters if the front 4 gets shoved around and creates no pressure. Nick Hayden played the most snaps on the D Line last year. Yes, Nick Hayden. What else is there to say.

yes, nobody is going to disagree with you here.Drafting a safety in the first rd doesnt preclude adding Dlinemen later in the draft

I'm starting to notice numerous threads on the same players.

Best safety in the draft imo. Better than Clinton-Dix. Scouts say he will be picked anywhere from 16-30 in the 1st round. What do you guys think?

As much as I believe he is the TOP safety in the draft, I much rather have Donald/Jernigan/Ealy in Round 1 and Ed Reynolds/Jimmie Ward in Round 2.

some would argue that this is what we have been doing almost every year now, getting a safety in the middle rds(mostly from a small school) and they have failed spectacularly so far.

Yes you are correct! He is the best. Love this kid. Although Brooks and Ward aren't a huge step down. Not a fan of Clinton-Dix for what we need. He's a strong safety

I agree with the sentiment that if there is no pressure on the QB, it won't matter who is in the secondary...the only way I see a S being our first pick is one the following scenarios:

1) we trade down to acquire another pick (2nd or 3rd round) and then take the safety late in round 1
2) a huge run on DL has all of the first round talents gone already
3) we somehow sign at least 2 DL (that can actually play) in FA, making the draft about BPA

Note: I don't see any of these scenarios happening and thus, I don't see us drafting safety

Don't think we can trade down again this year if we're really interested in drafting Pryor. Zona, GB, & Philly all have huge needs at safety and I'm sure one would most likely select him in the 20-22 if he hasn't already came off the board by then. I like the player and would be pleased if we drafted him but IMO he's not a better overall player than Jernigan/Donald.

Your right about the other teams wanting a safety;however, he would scare the **** out of receivers.

I don't care about the big hits. They receive too much attn from the refs although the league has got to find some balance there. Not saying I don't like them just I want a cover safety with lots of range who can tackle.

The mid first round is a great place to pick a safety in the first. Safe pick.

I honestly think Receivers were scared to run across the middle of the field when playing against Louisville.

11 picks in this draft. There still will be ample picks left to address the DL.

After watching that highlight reel, I was having 'HERE COMES THE BOOM" flashbacks. A lot of that wouldn't fly in todays NFL but he would definitely bring some needed respect from opposing receivers to our secondary. If he is there @16-17 worth taking him.

He is my pet cat in this draft. I think the dl needs addressed but if he his there at or first pick i take him. If you traded back i don't think he lasts pays philly imo. Address the dl in rounds after this pick.

I love this guy, he would certainly be an impact player and could bring that attitude and passion that Dez brings to the offense for the defense. This guy has good speed, can cover and certainly can hit. He'd make every bit of impact that Vacarro had in NO before getting hurt. Pryor is going to be a good player in this league. I'm hoping he's playing for us, and certainly not the eagles. The DLine position is deep in this draft outside of the top 3 pass rushers many DLine guys on the same level
