What do you guys think the chances of Anthony Henry playing FS are and Aaron Glenn being the number two corner, for this season ?

Justin Beriault 6-2 199lbs
Roy Williams 6-0 226lbs
Darren Woodson 6-1 219lbs
Anthony Henry 6-1 205lbs
Keith Davis 5-10 198lbs
Terence Newman 5-11 190lbs
Aaron Glenn 5-9 185lbs

None, Henry needs to be at the RCB postion, and glenn needs to play in nickel situations,

Davis, Scott, reese, will come out as the winner, TC just started and we problay wont know untill the day before the game knowing BP

Remote unless a lot of other guys go down. You need three starting CBs in the NFL today. Moving Henry to FS is like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, IMO.

Yeah, sure, the chairs may look better on the Fore deck rather then Aft but the big whole in the side of the boat, yeah, that's still taking on water.

Parcells stated they are talking to some people when the FS issue was brought up. He mentioned the scout team being involved too.

Yesterday he stated he needed atleast 4 Corners. We have atleast 3 legit corners in Henry, Newman and Glenn. The rest are just guys.

I am seriously thinking Ty Law is still in the picture as a combo CB/FS.

He's the best CB inthe league when healthy because he's physical and very smart in reading routes and plays in general.

He hasn't signed with any team yet. There's got to be a dark horse out there. I think its the Cowboys.

Sorry but i dont think Law would want to come here, we dont have the cap space to take his high number and he's looking to start a CB, who do we move out Newman, Henry, tell them hey Law is here so go play FS now, sorry i just dont see it happening. I think BP is gonna let these battle be decided internaly, and if there really is nobody there, he'll look around.

As far as the scout thing goes, i think there just keeping the ear open in case any name kinda comes out, but if they sign anyone its' going to be a true FS, not a CB.

Ty Law coming to the Cowboys, Jesus we would have one hell of a secondary then, how do we look for cap ?

I just think Anthony Henry would look good at FS. He is a hard hitter, strong, good at reading plays and has an eye for the ball. Also, when ive seen him playing he just doesnt have the top speed, and gets burnt by WRs.

alot of players get burned by WR's, the differnce is henry is tough and battles at the line if we get the pash rush we're looking for the time it takes for a WR to burn henry he wouldnt be sacked

and BTW did you know your FS has to have top end speed because they are the S that covers the back of the field so usually whent he ball is thrown they have to go where it's at and make a play on it, sometimes they even cover the slot WR, if the Slot corner blitzes, so if you go by that then why put him at FS,

FS isnt about hitting thats SS, it's about coverage and Henry does his best playing CB bump and run, and play you tight, not roam around the field.

I think they have Beriault at around 203 right now and bill apparently wants him even heavier. I think they were shooting for 208.

They are looking at him for SS so I'd expect him to be closer to 215 by next year after a full season of training. Assuming they try him out at FS, he'd still need to be around 205 I think to last the year.

As for getting Law, it's too much money in the secondary.

Law doesn't want a one year contract.

After this year Roy will have a new contract extension (among the highest payed Safeties in the league)

New will get an extension probably next year if he plays well this year (either Fred Smoot money or C-Mac money depending on performance)

Henry is already making good money.

Adding Law would push it well over the edge. You'd have about half of your defense cap space distributed along the back 4 guys.

Good teams are balanced teams.

True enough, just looking at the size of him he is close to Woodson. Yeh I understand about SS/FS and with Roy Williams playing closer to the line of scrimage we are going to need a faster FS.

Yeh I was just showing that Darren Woodson was a BIG guy :) Right ive made up my mind if Aaron Glenn isnt needed on the field to play at CB, he will spend time at FS.

Safetys have to make tackles ............. thats why they are usually younger and bigger than the corners. Glenn is a small older corner .............. I cant see him playing safety. but I could see us playing the zone with him in the ball hawk position.

I believe its MB3

On another note, I've heard Beriault has been practicing quite well.. Mostly hits and an INT.. But what about the rest of his coverage skills? Has anyone heard how that looks?
