Full trailer for Netflix Cowboys documentary

I just reread Boys will be Boys and I am very much looking forward to seeing this...funny thing is for those of you saying you wont watch/its stupid - you should really go read Boys will be Boys if you haven't as it not only goes behind the scenes on the players, but lets you in to how incredibly dumb Jerry was with respect to football (not ownership) in the early days.

I would also say that as much as we all give Jerry the GM crap, he is lightyears better now than he was in the 90s/2000's in terms of at least understanding he has to surround himself with smart football people and defer to them. Some of the drafts in the 90s AFTER Jimmy we so bad that it crippled the team for the next decade.

He did..and won a ring after it….meanwhile Jimmy…..
I hate when yall do this.

Jimmy tried getting rid of Marino to build the team and Miami said no.

Remind me. How did Marino do?

Jerry hasn’t won without Jimmy’s fingerprints all over the team. And conversely Jimmy didn’t win without Jerry. They caught lightning in a bottle. Unfortunately one couldn’t handle not getting the credit. And destroyed what would have probably been 4-5 SBs.

He did and he should be knocked for that. But you can’t give credit to Jimmy without giving it to Jerry as well.
Sure I can.

Once Jerry wanted more input into football decisions, the team has done nothing.

I’ve read the books. Jimmy was the architect of everything football in Dallas. Jerry was a salesman and marketing genius. You need to stop with these jokes you keep making.

Had Jerry hired switzer when he first bought the cowboys. This teams last SB would have been under Landry.

I don’t know what you hate. I said the same exact thing. They needed each other. We can argue why this didn’t happen or why this did…he never showed he could win in a SB era…

Ok so if Jerry didn’t hire Jimmy then who did? He hired himself?

Amen. Any bit of success Jones has had with the Cowboys all flow from the very first (and still best, by far) decision he made as owner, which was to hire Jimmy. And even that was a no-brainer - pretty much anyone coming in as an owner at that time, for any team, would have wanted to hire Johnson.

That is not true. Teams were not knocking down the door to sign Jimmy. You have to remember that at that time the jump from college to the pros isn’t like now. People thought Jerry was stupid for doing it.

Plenty of people were calling for Jimmy to be hired after what he did at Miami.

Not sure where this idea came from that college to pro was different back then.

Oh, time for a Cowboys documentary on Netflix.

Must have been a poll taken that concluded Cowboys hate was at an all time low.

At the 17 second mark of the trailer, "This is a soap opera 365 days a year". - Jerry Jones. Yes, Jerry, it is and your tone suggest this is the preferred environment. $$$$.

You are correct here. People do this crap all the time.

“I could see we were on the verge of greatness in 1989.”

No you didn’t. Stop lying, lol.

You're problem is that you're trying to to take a kernel of truth and equate it to the entire harvest.

They both had roles in the success on the field but Johnson deserves the VAST majority of the credit for that success.

Trying to credit Jerry over Johnson for SB 30 is what they call a red herring.
