Full trailer for Netflix Cowboys documentary

You're problem is that you're trying to to take a kernel of truth and equate it to the entire harvest.

They both had roles in the success on the field but Johnson deserves the VAST majority of the credit for that success.

Trying to credit Jerry over Johnson for SB 30 is what they call a red herring.
I’m not doing anything I verbatim said they both deserve credit. You guys want to give this person this much credit or that person. You can’t erase Jerry from the success. I don’t like the guy he’s scum and line forget those images I saw of him with those kids who were just trying to obtain an education. But he hired Jimmy. Jimmy didn’t hire himself.

Ok so if Jerry didn’t hire Jimmy then who did? He hired himself?
I gave credit for hiring Jimmy. That is where it stops. Jerry had no input on football decisions. No matter how much yall want to try and make it seem like he did.

The proof is in the pudding. Since he took over football operations and Jimmy’s staff and players and culture left, he’s won zip.

Ok? So what’s the issue? All I said was he hired Jimmy lol. You went on this whole tangent just to say the same thing I said…..

I hate when yall do this.

Jimmy tried getting rid of Marino to build the team and Miami said no.

Remind me. How did Marino do?

Jerry hasn’t won without Jimmy’s fingerprints all over the team. And conversely Jimmy didn’t win without Jerry. They caught lightning in a bottle. Unfortunately one couldn’t handle not getting the credit. And destroyed what would have probably been 4-5 SBs.
Yeah that bugs me also. I lived in South Florida at the time and Jimmy absolutely wanted to get rid of Marino, but the owner wouldnt allow it.

Also if Jimmy remained in Dallas and drafted guys like Jason Taylor, Patrick Surtain, Sam Madison and Zach Thomas in the mid rounds instead of Willie Blade, Colston Weatherington, Mario Edwards and Kareem Larrimore….they may not have declined so badly.

Jimmy put up the ‘Gone Fishing’ sign after a certain point, and left a pretty good roster to Wannstedt. Still, no QB (owner meddling always works), but Dallas was one of the worst teams in the league at that point.

Because as an owner he's unmatched, unfortunately. Buying a franchise for $100M and having it be worth $10B+ 30 years later is unrivalled
Just stop with those stats. The Lakers were just sold for $10B. Sports franchise valuations are through the roof. He did nothing special.

So he gets credit for hiring the guy who did the overwhelming majority of the work and had the PROVEN skill necessary to build a championship dynasty. Just as he had done in college. Seems you're missing the forest for the trees.

Yeah but to prove your point you’re trying to discredit a HOF coach who is the only reason Jerry has anything in this league.

Jerry should be thanking Jimmy daily for his success because without Jimmy, Jerry doesn’t have this stupid documentary.

HOF careers...he drafted a number of HOFers. Parcells also did...Jerry...? Maybe Larry Allen...that's it.

What do the Cowboys dynasty players credit Jerry for? Breaking up the dynasty.
Well I don’t think highly of Jerry either. But you can’t write Cowboys history without acknowledging him.

Why wouldn’t he get credit for hiring someone who no one else wanted to hire because he came from the college ranks? I’m missing the forest for the trees because why? I don’t tap dance for you or agree with you? Aren’t you the one who says he stands on his own beliefs?

How in the hell did I discredit what Jimmy did in Dallas? You are just arguing to argue. Jerry and Jimmy worked together to get those rings.

Jerry is the one who fired Landry….im sure you guys will revise history and say how easy of a decision it was…..but it wasn’t.

The Hershel Walker trade was Jimmys idea but it required Jerry getting rid of their best player. Something Jerry wouldn't dare do now.

So yes he did a little more than just signed checks.
