Funny how people bash TO

but when I saw the receiving number today, he was something like fourth (or was it third) in the NFL amongst wide receivers with everyone's favourite number as the number of catches he has made so far this year. I guess to whom more is given, more is expected.

I think it's because alot of people are still pissed about the 'star incident'

get over it people!

and a small percentage who don't like how TO has acted, which is understandable

The team is bigger than any one player and the team will be around longer than any one player...

We all knew what we were getting so there should be no surprises or "I told you so's"...

There is no such thing when it comes to TO...

He is a tremendous athlete who has some serious issues...

Nothing more, nothing less...

We should expect these numbers from him as we should expect his comments/mood swings/issues, etc...

I keep reading that folks are disappointed with his YAC as compared with years past...I haven't bothered to look up the numbers, but they won't tell the whole story anyway.

What people tend to recall are his game-winning plays, and the amazing number of times he'd break not one, but multiple tackles to race from what in retrospect always seemed like his own side of the 50 to the endzone.

It could be his YAC is every bit as impressive as it used to be, but the absence of game winning plays is probably qualifying it in some minds.

That's why we keep seeing from fans and media alike "when is he going to break out?" questions. Three tds vs a poor Texans team didn't qualify, I guess, and there's a growing sense his TDs were mostly in garbage time regardless of the opponent.

His stats are impressive but none so noteworthy as his times targeted ...he will likely break his career most this year...but he seems to be doing less with more in Dallas regardless of his numbers. Or maybe it's just that as a player on a rival team, he took on mythic proportions.

and of course the drops loom large even tho not a one has cost us a game.

I am upset with TO because of his costly drops. Most noteably in the Commanders game. It was in the bag with that TD he dropped.

Why? Did TO apologize or admit it was wrong and I missed it?? All I've heard so far are excuses.

Or should we do what Michael Irvin claimed "Score a touchdown and they'll forgive your sins"

TO has 300 YAC... I believe he is 4th or 5th... the #1 WR has 600 YAC
I came across it earlier... just thought I would throw it out there:D

as a rival

now he's a Cowboy

get over it *not you personally, but whoever is still holding grudges*

Thats all I want. TO does not have to be the game breaker he used to be. He doesn't have to have a ton of yards to make me happy, but I would like for him to stop dropping easy passes. Maybe he should ask TG for some help since he rarely drops passes.

The media is crediting him with too many dropped passes in my opinion. When Romo throws a pass to his ankles and it grazes his fingertips, it should not be considered a drop.

Yea TO is going to drop passes here or there but you have to take the good with the bad sometimes.

We all knew what were getting when we signed him, he always had problems concentrating 100%.

Of course people are going to say he is on the decline of his career, when you go from a pass first W.C system like in pHilly, to a run-based Dallas offense your stats are going to be down.

But with that being said TO has been a great addition, and Im fortunate he is on this team instead of Keyshawn. B/cause unike Key, TO can open more for everybody else, making us more dangerous.

I guess T.O. is sort of flying under the radar. And before I bash him too awful much I will agree with the poster who says that he opens up the whole offense - he does command attention, thus he commands respect.

But you really don't notice him that much (at least I don't); he also leads the league in another category - drops. And that gets really frustrating as a fan.

I do feel kind of cheated after I've spent so much time popping popcorn and I have yet to see a spectacular "break out" game.

C'mon, T.O., let's party like it's ya birfday....

130 yards and 3 TDs this Sunday!! You can do it!

I'm not popping anymore popcorn until you do.

Considering the type of offense we run, I'm extremely happy with the way TO has performed this year.

People forget that TO excelled in San Fran and Philly because those teams run a West Coast offense. That system is designed for players like TO to excel.

Yes he has had some costly drops this season, but when you look at his numbers and production he is doing his job. Whenever he is on the field opposing defenses have to account for him and not many receivers in the NFL can do that.

Think about for one minute what TO's numbers might be had Romo been the starter all season. Bledsoe practically ignored every receiver we have except Glenn, and now that Romo is in Witten, TO, Crayton, and even Fasano have contributed to our success.

TO is doing the job he was brought in here to do, has stopped running his mouth, and is helping this team win. Bottom line.
