Funny Mavs fan story...

Well funny to me....

I've got a friend who lives in Dallas and she called me all excited cuz she's got tix to the Mavs game tonight and possibly the next one too. She was all like "nah, nah boo boo... I got tix the Mavs game. Woohoo!"

So in my driest voice I tell her, "I don't like the Mavs. Never have. Even when I lived up there."

She pauses, then says, "Aww man, WTH is wrong with you? See, I can't talk to you. To hell w/you." Then hangs up in my face.

I don't know why I found that funny, but it just felt so great to tinkle in her wheaties.

Yep I'm a long-suffering Rockets fan and I wish they'd get rid of Van Gundy. Spurs have always been my backup and in the Texas Triangle, Mavs always come up third for me. Just not a fan.

It was one of those you had to be there things. Cuz she expected me to be as excited as her. And you have to really to hear how I told her. It was one of those, I'm supposed to care because...kinda tones.

Yeah WG, I am not at all a Van Gundy fan. I was excited when he came on board and said that he was going to watch every game tape from the previous season to see what he had on the team.

But then he came right back with the same unimaginative offense, sticking Yao down on the low blocks. He lost me right there.

Yao should always get some touches in the highpost where he can get his teammates some easy shots.

He's the best passing big man in the league, but Van Gundy is not smart enough to install an offense to utilize those strengths.
