And I do mean no one. Not Hall of Fame selectors. The media. Fans. No one.
No one should argue that the Cowboys should not have ex-players, coaches, etc., inducted in consecutive years--such as Irvin being inducted in the Class of 2007 following Aikman and Wright this year. The argument can be squashed by simply looking at the consecutive induction streaks of other teams...
[Notes: Only members who made major contributions to one or teams were counted. For example: Lance Alworth was counted with the Chargers and not with the Cowboys.
( ) = number of members selected during the streak ]
49ers: 1969-1971 (3), 1993-1994 (2)
Bears: 1963-1967 (11), 1974-1975 (2), 1981-1982 (3)
Bills: 2001-2003 (3)
Browns: 1967-1968 (2), 1974-1977 (4), 1983-1985 (4)
Cardinals: 1963-1964 (2), 1967-1968 (2)
Chargers: 1986-1987 (2), 1990-1991 (2)

Vikings: 1994-1995 (2)
Lastly, the Cowboys cannot be excluded from the list. Dallas enjoyed one back-to-back induction streak: 1990-1991. The inducted members? The legendary Tom Landry and Tex Schramm.
With the upmost respect to these two great founders of this franchise, it is a damn shame that the Pro Football Hall of Fame has NEVER inducted any of the great Dallas players from the 60's and 70's in consecutive years. There have been too many waiting to be enshrined for that to have ever occurred. Both the selectors and the seniors committee should begin to rectify this [censored] practice beginning in 2007.
