You guys sleep on Romo too much. I don't care if he hasn't won a super bowl. Look at his numbers, and what he is on pace to do. Obviously winning championships will make a difference, but I don't see him not winning anything.
White never put up the numbers Romo has. Like someone said Tony is on pace to break so many records its not even funny.
He is already tied for 2nd in career qb rating with Peyton Manning, they both just slightly get edged out by Steve Young.
Dan Marino had the same haters who are hating on Romo now. Dude didnt even go to the playoffs for four straight years, and is 8-10 in the playoffs.
Peyton Manning is 7-8 in the playoffs...
Arguably the two best pure passers in nfl history.
Marino and Manning both started as rookies. Romo spent his first 3 years on the bench. I am not saying he can't overcome those three missed years and end up putting up some monster stats. It is just 3 less years of stats on his resume.
Quincy Carter put up 6000 yards and 29 TDs in his first three years.
Troy Aikman put up 7000 yards and 31 TDs in his first three years.
Peyton Manning had 12,000 yards and 85 TDs in his first three years.
Dan Marino had 11,000 yards and 98 TDs in his first three years.
Tony Romo did not play so after three years he had 0 yards and 0 TDs.
Tony is good, but you can see what kind of numbers he missed out on while carrying a clipboard. I think he will end up with some very good stats in his career, but he can't fully make up for three lost years of playing.. Like I have shown even had Romo only produced at Quincy's mediocre levels his first three seasons it would have added something to his final totals when he finally hangs them up.
