Couple quick updates on the bumps, bruises and dings...

Cornerback Michael Hawkins had a bruised kneecap. The personnel checked it, and they're hoping that it's no big problem. So far, sounds like he'll be back out here tomorrow.

Defensive tackle Tim Anderson (toe) still has some time on the shelf. Wade Phillips said he may be around come the third or fourth presseason game.

Meanwhile, linebacker Stephen Hodge (calf) could practice on Monday.

Surprised she didn't spell it Hockins or Hawkings.

Good news about Hodge, but I hope that they do not bring him back too fast.

So we are going to carry this do-nothing until practically the final cuts?

I doubt it. I was told after the OTA's that Siavii and Bowen are the most likely candidates for backup NT and everyone else is playing for PS positions. He doesn't qualify. Therefore along with the injury inactivity I think he will be among the first cuts. Maybe even before cuts are due.

I might add Marcus Dixon to that list, Hos. He's been having a great camp so far.

If they move Bowen to NT I think it will be to keep Dixon at DE. I heard back in March that he had really slimmed down and become what they hoped he could.

I think Dixon makes this squad as the 4th or 5th DE and Bowen is swing between DE and NT.

If Siavii fails to be what they hope I think Bowen is the backup to rat and Dixon is the 4th DE. Either way, Dixon makes this team.
