Jordin Sparks will sing the national anthem Sunday for the inaugural game at the new Cowboys Stadium.

Sparks won the sixth season of American Idol and is the daughter for former
Cowboys player Phillipi Sparks.

I think it was either an allstar game or something like that. She sounded great from what I remember.

Isn't it tradition for a trumpet player to do the National Anthem at a home Cowboys game?

I just hope she doesn't pull what a lot of these singers do and use our anthem to showcase how 'great' they are at tweaking notes. Just sing it straight.
